Recent COVID-19 Information
With the increase in cases of COVID-19 in the state of Hawaii, the following mandates to protect island residents and visitors have been announced: (source)
- A temporary closure of Oahu bars remains in effect, and restaurants must stop serving alcohol at 10PM.
- There will be a partial inter-island quarantine that will go into effect on Tuesday, August 11th and continue through August 31st. This partial quarantine requires anyone arriving by air on any island except Oahu to quarantine for 14 days.
- Oahu city and state parks and beaches will be closed as of August 7th through September 5th. Botanical gardens, city and private swimming pools, bowling alleys, tennis courts and hiking trail will also be closed.
- Oahu beach goers will be allowed to walk across the sand to enter the water to swim, but there will be no loitering allowed on the sand.
