FUN NIGHT

Took my wife to this one night. We wanted to get out of Waikiki and see the other side of the island. And boy is it gorgeous over there!

The ranch grounds were amazing....like you stepped into a movie or postcard. It is no wonder Jurassic Park was filmed here....and to see exactly where, that was so cool.

The buffet was fantastic, and my wife especially liked the gardens there. We were very happy with how everything went...a great night, a great place.

fire and ice is nice

I just LOVE going to the spa...and one of my favorite things to get done there is a manicure. I always get manicures back home, so when I saw the Fire and Ice option, I figured it would be kind of cool to mix it up a little bit and see what that was all about.

And I am really glad i did! It was just as good as a basic manicure like I usually get...but then added on to it some really neat gels that soothed and cooled my hands, and then used a warm stone to massage...man, the sensations colliding like that were really awesome. Loved it.

Left with my signature sweet sixteen pink nails, all buffed and beautiful! Happy as can be!

a couple of good laughs

My husband and I went to these two shows and had a good time. I am not usually one for comedians...but I particularly thought the Comedy Polynesia at the beginning was funny.

My husband just thought EVERYTHING was funny. He likes comedy shows a ton, so this was right up his alley.

We both had a good night, and would recommend this to our friends coming here for vacation.

diehard lost fans!

My family and I are diehard Lost fans....and even though it has been off the air for awhile now, we were just as excited to see the actual places it was filmed!

My kids, I swear know every single line from the show, and have every scene memorized! It was the coolest thing as a mom to see their faces light up as they put two and two together and were like: "Look Mom! That was where Sawyer did this, or Kate said that..."

I felt like this day I won best mom award in their eyes, they were so excited the whole time! Great day for all who loved (and still love!) the show!

double trouble :)

My sister and I got into our heads that we wanted to try these new little nifty things out. It felt silly, and fun, and wild and great to zip around together in those little mini-cars! I honestly felt a bit like a racecar driver for some reason, ha!

I loved the fact that we could ride together rather than having to take two separate coupes....that was we got to talk and laugh and see everything together the entire time....really makes a difference. Plus, I don't know if I would have been brave enough to take one out just me...it was great to have a partner in crime ;)

Definitely a fun thing to do, and a great way to see Waikiki!

Love me some Lomi!

I loved every second of this massage!

I am a spa snob, as I love and frequent them often! So I know a good massage when I see/feel one...and this was out of this world!

I chose the Lomi Lomi massage, feeling that I just needed the soothing long strokes and rhythms that brings, and it was the best choice I could have made...just the peaceful pampering I was looking for!

And my favorite part, and that extra Hawaiian added touch that really set this apart was the "ho'awe" filled with the Hawaiian salts, they had you place your worries in it and then they release it to the sea...what a freeing mental image that is....loved that especially.

satisfied customer

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this massage. I had this idea that maybe it wouldn't be that good because it was from a student or something, and because at such a great price, how COULD it be that good?

But man oh man was I pleasantly surprised! It was out of this world! I will recommend this to any and everyone I know coming to Oahu in the future....why in the world would anyone pay MORE for just as good if not better of a massage from this academy?!?!

Two thumbs way up!

made a day of it

I took my two teenage sons to this course. We had a great day. I am a diehard golfer and go every chance I can get...the boys had never really been much, always being busy with school sports and things. But on vacation we had some time, so they wanted to try it out....I was so excited to get them out there.

I was able to line up a lesson for them to introduce them to the sport...and while they did that I just went to the driving range and warmed up. It worked out great.

Then we played a round, and rounded out the day with a delicious lunch onsite at the restaurant. It was a guys day with my boys, and I was on cloud nine. Thanks for a great day.

two sets of eyes

Went with my boyfriend on this trip, and it was really a great day. Molokai in itself was such a welcome change from the fast paced life we were on vacation from. It was such a peaceful, almost other-worldly feel as we drove around and got to experience its beauty.

I got so many great snapshots to take home, but the best part really was when my boyfriend and I compared our shots...of the same landscapes, etc....and they were so very different from one another...it was so cool to see how we could take the same location and make it unique to each of our lenses and eyes.

These pictures are memories from this trip that will last forever, and I am so grateful for them!

shy surfer

I am a painfully shy person, but I have always really wanted to learn to surf. I figured if I was ever going to do it, Hawaii would be the best place to learn.

I found this lesson online, and decided to give it a go. I was so nervous, because I am so shy and didn't know how it was going to be learning in front of a guide or around other people...and I really really didn't want to embarrass myself.

But once I got there I realized I had wasted so much time worrying when I hadn't needed to at all! the guide was so friendly and made me feel so comfortable right away. His encouragement and patience were astounding, and just made the lesson so laid back and non-threatening. I even caught several waves myself! Go on this, you won't be sorry!
