Enjoyable but a little pricey, but worth it for the vip version!

Posted on: 2016/09/17

We payed for the VIP package, and we're really glad we did. Ringside seats made the show amazing, but it wouldn't have been worth it from the nosebleeds. The food was great, with a broad selection anx generous portions. Whilst table service was provided by a delightful and industrious server, the buffet/bar were so easy access that it probably wasn't nescessary. A great show worth a watch.

Spectacular experience

Posted on: 2016/09/13

This tour was absolutely awesome. Chris and Nick, our guides, were very knowledgeable and fun. They clearly pride themselves on what they do, which makes them stand out from the average. The meals were good, especially the beautiful dinner. We had the steak which was fantastic, and the service was perfect and so friendly. We saw beautiful sights all day, ending at the volcano which gave us a good show. Would do again in a heartbeat. Thanks guys!

Aloha! Mahalo for joining us on our Deluxe Volcano Experience. We are delighted to hear that you had such an awesome day with Nick and Chris. They're both so knowledgeable, offering top notch hospitality which allows our guests to just sit back, relax, and enjoy! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed all of the sights and treats throughout the day, especially that incredible lava lake inside of Halema'uma'u Crater. Mahalo for your recommendation and we hope to see you on your next visit to the Big Island!

Fantastic Day out, audience participation included!

Posted on: 2014/09/21

The Nikko tour element of this trip was very fun, and the long trip there was made enjoyable by our delightful guide Amy (although I still can't get the song she had us sing out of my head). The temple was beautiful and the local environment a delight.
The unguided element at Edo Wonderland was a lot of fun, and one of our group even got dragged on stage to fumble through some scripted Japanese (we still don't know what he said, but the audience found it funny). The place itself had some of the hallmarks of a tourist trap, but these were easily overlooked when charmed by the friendly staff and casual atmosphere.
Don't miss the chance to dress up and have your picture taken!

Be careful, a long day with a lot of unstructured time awaits.

First off the tour element of our tour was highly enjoyable, but short as we elected to have half a day guided. The locations visited were all interesting and beautiful, and the tour guide made sure we had all the information well and truly drummed in.
Afterwards we had 8 hours to kill in Kyoto, which we hadn't really planned for, in a heat and humidity we hadn't planned for either.
We made an enjoyable day of wandering shopping districts and finding many small temples, but had we not been so easy-going this day could have been a disaster. Either go prepared, or book in for the full day.

Tranquility and great views.

This trip was for the most part excellent, and a fantastic way to start a trip to Tokyo.
Our favorite part was the Tea Ceremony and surrounding gardens, which were both delightfully tranquil and relaxing experiences.
The only change we would make was the visit to the imperial palace, while the cultural significance of the palace can't be understated, seeing it from afar (as it is closed almost all year) does it no justice.
Tour guide was informative and kept the group moving along well.

an awesome luxury

Posted on: 2014/09/15

Although I can imagine the experience varies depending on your driver, ours made the day extremely easy and once he was used to the idea of two very informal aussies he was also excellent company. Great cars and our driver helped with our lack of Japanese. We visited Akihabra, Nanko Broadway and Odaiba; while Odaiba itself offered little that a western shopping mall does not, the spectacle of the giant robot was worth it even for someone who is not a gundam fan. Akihabra offered far more than we could have possibly seen in half a day (we ended up returning later for another visit). Whilst Nanko Broadway may have less appeal to the sightseer, it did offer a much more exciting shopping experience. Would recommend this trip to anyone and especially to a nerd with shopping on the agenda.

Dear Mrs. Marie
Thank you very much for your nice comments. We are all very pleased to read this. The driver did also have much fun attending your day tour. If you have any chance to revisit Japan, we are looking forward to serving your trip again.
Best regards.

Good

Posted on: 2014/09/05

The tour was great, good options and great guide. Half a day was right length of time. As a ghibli fan I had heard all about it, so knew what to expect. A bit disappointed that as adults you couldn't even go near the catbus or have a pic as a consolation prize. But it was a fun time in the wacky mind of miazacki. And the short was beautiful.
