The Sugar Cane Train
Sugar Cane Train
I was excited to ride the Sugar Cane Train as I had heard it would go through a history of Maui and the sugar cane fields. There was a brief mention of this, but not what I expected. The train ride itself was very uncomfortable (seats were hard and tracks were rough). People had to duck so they wouldn't be hit by trees and bushes as we chugged along. Friendly staff and it was pretty cool that the train is an old steam engine. Not what I expected, but the kids on the train seemed to really enjoy the ride.

Molokini Snorkel & Sunset Dinner Cruise
The snorkel with Pride of Maui was top notch! Staff on board was GREAT! They made sure everyone had breakfast and lunch, drinks, all the gear they needed and that they knew how to properly use the equipment....very attentive! In the water, they had staff in the water ready to assist anyone who needed it. FABULOUS trip!!! Dinner cruise was okay. VERY windy out of Ma'alaea Harbor (2nd windiest harbor in the world we found out)...food that was supposed to be hot was barely warm....food that was supposed to be cold, was warm. Wasn't the best meal, drinks were just okay. We've been on many dinner cruises, most have tables, this one did not...we were on the same boat that we snorkeled on. Boat just sat in the water doing nothing for quite a while which was interesting as I expected to cruise around the area quite a bit. All in all....the snorkeling was great and would do that again in a heart beat....but would pass on this dinner cruise.
