Airport to Hotel Shuttle.

Posted on: 2013/08/31

We have used this service approximately 10 times. They are always on time and very helpful with your luggage and helpful getting tired folks into the van. The vans are old and dusty but they do the job, they are never late and the price is wonderful. The service is top-notch.

Embassy Suites to Airport Shuttle

Posted on: 2013/08/31

We were picked up on time and 3 families squeezed into a 9 passenger van. It was pretty hot, the air didn't work all that well, but you can't beat the price. They are dependable and always on time. The vans are not filthy but they are old and pretty ragged. The employees are very nice and usually tell you about all of the sights you are passing. We tend to give about a 20-40 dollar tip as we know the island is expensive to live on and the workers are actually very pleasant. Although it is not fancy it is a great bargain for my family.

Our favorite day of the summer

Posted on: 2010/08/19

This ride is sooooo much fun. Anyone can do it. Don't think you are too skinny or too fat. Either way you are getting a great ride. We even saw a guy that weighed 290 ride with a guy who was 240. Over 500 pounds and up they went like they were butterflies. The day we went the waves were choppy and it caused a little sea sickness for a couple of us but other than that we had an outstanding time. Our group had teens, 20's, 40's and 50's. Everyone screamed for joy. It was a great time.

The Yin and Yang of the Hilton Luau

Posted on: 2010/08/19

We loved:
- we could walk to it
-that it was short and to the point
-the food was better than any other luau we have been to
-they had a kids table for the buffet with finger foods
-We paid extra to sit in the front and one of our kids got picked to go up on stage and be in a competition.
-It really was a family luau. People weren't drunk and the dancers didn't do anything embarrassing

-We didn't love:
-The chairs were cheap, weak, and wobbly.
-The family next to us was so close we had to touch arms and legs to scoot our chairs in
-We felt packed in like a herd of cows waiting for a buffet
-the drink ticket system is poorly run. My kids had water and they were asked for a drink ticket. They only had a short list of about 5 drinks and they would not make virgin drinks.
-The parking lot view sucks. We did not get any good pictures and at Germains and Paradise Cove and the Polynesian Cultural Center you will get the best photos that you will treasure all of your lif

Teenagers love it year after year

Posted on: 2010/08/19

We have been to this water park for the last 5 years in a row. We have four teens and they want to go each year. There are more rides now and the kids are occupied the entire time. We don't pay extra for the buffet because it is not really that enjoyable for teenagers. They prefer the hamburgers and fries that they can get whenever they want. The buffet is more multicultural and more formal. They do not have enough poolside chairs and alot of parents sit on the grass by the lazy river. The parents would float longer in the lazy river but there are not enough inner tubes and you have to get out of the lazy river after one turn around and get back in line. For parents in there 40's or even 50's that becomes tiresome. There is a hot tub for adults over 21 but it is not open the entire time. As far as the kids are concerned this place gets 5 ***** stars! They have a really great time and love it! If they love it then I want to take them:)

Saw President Obama's Birthplace.

Posted on: 2010/08/17

We were picked up at Embassy Suites on August 15th promptly at 11am. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name who drove our family to the airport. He was so polite and helpful. There were six of us in our group and we had a lot of heavy luggage filled with souvenirs and new school clothes. Although we had a lot of luggage the driver was pleasant and cheerful. He gave us a great tour on the way back to the airport. He showed us where President Obama had lived as a child, where he was born, and where he went to school. We were amazed at how close it was to our hotel and we had never heard those interesting facts before. Our driver was polite, an excellent driver, and because of him we will continue to use Ilima Tours for all of our airport transportation needs each year. We were so happy to tip him well because he gave us such an interesting ride. How many people can say they have been within feet of the President of the United States birthplace and childhood home? It was an honor to

Ilima Transportation

Posted on: 2008/08/13

The service was actually very good. On time, spacious van, good driver. We unfortunately are comparing him to the last three drivers we had over the last three summers. The previous drivers told us about every site we passed and told us local goings-on and updated us on the community and anything new to do. This driver said only two words to us the whole time. It was a very uncomfortable drive. We gave a huge tip to the last three drivers because they were so entertaining. This driver we felt it appropriate to just give the basic service tip per bag and travel time. But we had extra money out just waiting for him to do or say anything,

Teens liked it

Posted on: 2007/08/17

I went with 7 teenagers. They seemed to enjoy the park. It was very expensive compared to waterparks in California. The extra money we spent to have the BBQ lunch was not worth it. The kids would have preferred hamburgers and fries. There is not much for adults to do except the lazy river. The park was really clean and seemed kept up. The kids liked the surf rider and went on many times. The 5 dollar wristband for that was a good value.

Summer Vacation

Posted on: 2007/08/15

We really enjoyed this parasailing trip. It was so exciting and the crew was wonderful. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Our youngest is 12 years old and he had a great time. 9 of us went for just over 300 dollars. The time we each spent in the air was amazing. We felt like we got our money's worth!
