Unusual catch was good for the crew but no so, for the patrons

We did not catch and thing, & understand the circumstances. However, during the day, the crew sighted and retrieved a rare, japanese glass fishing float, valued at several hundred dollars. The catch was retrieved and never offered to the guests as part of "the catch of the day". At the very least, the crew should have offed us a chance at another fishing time as compensation, since none was offered for the ball. Some of the guest joked about taking the ball to sell, however the Captain quiped the he was the only one allowed to pack a gun. None was ever brandished, however the statement was made to the effect. The mood of the guest was subdued and upset, and the first mate was just excited over his bounty. Well, good for him, we paid for the boart excursion, the crew got paid to take us, they get all the catch, to sell and we get to pay them a tip for their service. We would have been happy with another trip out, however now, it would be nice for some refund from the trip.
