Waterfall Hike
My husband and I did this hike on a Sunday afternoon. It was moderately demanding and as long as you are fairly nimble, you should be able to make this hike without difficulty. There was a fair amount of steep up and down, and conditions are muddy and slick in places. Dave was our guide, and he was enthusiastic and knowledgable. The scenery was beautiful and the rain forest was a welcome break from the hustle of Waikiki. This is one of those places you probably wouldn't have found on your own by wandering around, so I feel it was worth the price to have the tour. Dave provided tons of information on the area's history and native plants and animals; again, something you wouldn't get if you went hiking on your own.

Parasailing!
This was one of the highlights of my vacation. My husband and I booked this activity before we arrived in Oahu, and I was actually a little nervous about it as it got closer. But, I have to say--this was a ton of fun. The other couples in our group were quite a bit younger than us--we are in our late forties--but I think this activity would be OK for almost any age and level of mobility. The crew was professional and skilled on the water, and everything felt safe and secure. And the ride was fantastic! The crew took pictures of the whole event and the memory card was available for purchase at the end of the ride for $30. These are some of my favorite vacation pictures, and proof to our kids that we did it! The flight itself was gentle. You gained height steadily and the views were terrific. The crew brought you back down, gave you a quick dunk in the ocean and landed you back on the boat. Go ahead and do this!
