North Shore Snorkeling Fun!!!
I normally just stay near Waikiki when I visit Hawaii, but my friends and I decided to rent a car and head out to North Shore this time. It was SOOO worth it! In a nutshell, this tour was amazing! We sailed for an hour along the coast heading north, did a quick detour into Waimea Bay (wicked views!) and then anchored off of Shark's Cove. The water was totally calm and clear, and there were three turtles near the reefs too. Snorkeling was a ton of fun and the captain and crew were great about setting us up with all of the necessary snorkeling equipment and floaties if we needed it. After an hour in the water, we headed back to the pier and I just stretched out on the netting in the front of the boat and relaaaaxed~
Thank you for fantastic afternoon!!!

Above and beyond my expectations!
This was a great tour!!! From the moment we were picked up, till we got dropped off, our guide Marcus made sure that everyone on the tour had a fantastic time. My friend and I were picked up right on time from our hotel in Kona, and we were immediately told a bunch of fascinating facts about the area and the Big Island in general. Our group was even smaller than usual, so we had a lot of one on one attention which made the tour even better.
The drive across Saddle Road was insane! The weather kept changing every few miles and so did the landscape. Once we got to Rainbow Falls, we got to take lots of beautiful photos and take a nice little walk around the area as well.
We got some free time in Hilo and munched on some shaved ice (lychee, guava and strawberry with vanilla ice cream! YUMMM!!!) and picked up a few snacks and gifts. The town is just so cute and quaint. Love it! After resting at the Kapohokine store for a bit, we headed to the Orchid Farm for a totally delish lunch. You can totally tell that each sandwich is handmade with love :D
I am not much of an outdoorsy person (seriously, computer nerd here!) but the hike was perfect! Like a mile around the rim of the crater in this rainforest-jungle place with a ton of plants and flowers. The stop at the lava tube really showed how awesome our tour was compared to the others I saw there. Whereas the other tour groups were flooding off of these HUGE buses and just getting pointed in the general direction of the tube, Marcus guided us and gave us a great experience!
The stops at the Jaggar Museum and steam vents were incredible and then when we went to the black sand beach? Way too cool. Oh, be sure to stock up on cookies and some sweetbread when you are at the bakery. The best I have had!

Mmmmmm! So gooooooood!
I have three words for you, Unlimited. Crab. Legs. This was a fantastic Seafood Buffet that had a lot of different food options, all of which were amazingly tasty. Not only did they crab legs, there was also platters of fresh sashimi, a sushi bar, a bunch of different entrees like chicken cutlet curry and a really yummy pesto orzo, but they also had a make-your-own pho station! Fresh beef, richly flavored broth, all of the veggie fixins'...yep, I was a happy camper ^_^ Be sure to come in with a hefty appetite!

Honolulu Airport Shuttle (HNL) by Ilima Tours
Cheap way to get to the hotel
After a 10 hour flight, the one thing I wanted to do was to check into my hotel. My plane arrived an hour early, but the porter was right there in the baggage claim waiting for me and calling out my name. He escorted me out to the waiting area and although there was a bit of a wait till the shuttle came, the porter would come back periodically to give me status updates on when the shuttle would arrive.
We were in a 10 person van, and although it was a snug fit, the ride was quick and quite comfortable. I was traveling alone so the $11 fee was perfect, but next time when I come back with my friends and family, I think I will choose a limo or private car. All in all, a great deal and an easy way to start my vacation :)

Kyoto Biking and Home Cooking Tour
Not only fun, but yummy too! ^_^
A big thank you~! I am so happy that I got to do this tour with my friends. We went to Kyoto for her dance workshop and only had a couple of days to spend in the city, but she was like "We have to do this tour!!!", so we did! Our guide was just the sweetest thing ever, and the shopping arcade was a lot of fun. She took the time to ask what kind of food we enjoy and stuff, and answered all of my questions I had about the unfamiliar items. Never seen so many vegetables that I didn't know what they were LOL! After shopping we went to a house to cook and I can't believe that I actually made food that tasted good! :D This was such a great time and I can't wait to recreate the meals here for my family~!!!
