Surf lesson
I had so much fun learning to surf. The instructor, Sean, was the best! Very good teacher. I would recommend a lesson early in the day though because the photographer doesn't like to take photos during the 3:00 session due to the sun. My best ride was the last one and he had left already.

Diamond Head
This was fantastic. Our guide, Joseph, was incredibly knowledgeable. We learned about the history, geology, and geography of the Hawaiian islands and other Polynesian islands. He was cognizant and accepting of the slower pace of my 70 year old mother. Everyone could go at their own pace, but he made sure she was safe. The view from the top is fabulous

Oahu tour
The actual tour operator is not Hawaii Activities so the tour was a little different than what was described on their web site. But it was pretty close.
We had to change buses and drivers/guides after the Pearl Harbor portion. We got behind here so we didn't get to spend as much time at some subsequent stops as I would have liked. I wish we hadn't stopped at an unadvertised shopping spot and spent more time at the Dole Plantation, which was only 20 minutes. I felt rushed everywhere we went just because there was so much to do on the tour.
We didn't get to go off on our own at the PCC. We all went together to predetermined locations. I didn't realize it would be like that. It was still enjoyable.
The two drivers were knowledgeable, friendly and safe.
The bus was comfortable. The lunch at the Polynesian Cultural Center was excellent!

Paradise Cove Luau on the Beach at Ko Olina Resort
Luau
We had never been to a luau so we had nothing to compare this to. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
The entertainment and activities before and after the meal were great, fun and appropriate for all age groups.
The taste and quality of food was good. The amount was plentiful. The alcoholic beverages that came with the VIP ticket was plentiful, although not very strong.
We bought the VIP package so that we wouldn't have to stand in line for the buffet. We went at a slow time in February (about 350 people) so it wasn't bad, but I would definitely recommend the VIP package in the peak season.
The lei and photos were very nice.
The fun didn't stop when we left the luau. The Paradise Cove tour guide sent to pick us up was fantastic. In the way to the luau we got to know the other people on our bus. We became a family of "cousins." On the way back we had music and humor based on our shared experiences. Our tour guide even played his ukulele and serenaded us. I didn't want to get off

Snorkeling and Sailing
This was a great activity. We didn't see as many difference colored fish as I thought we would, but we did swim with the fish and see some sea turtles.
The sailing part was the most enjoyable. I could have stayed out all day.
The crew was friendly and helpful.
