My kids saw their names first and did a double-take as they were not expecting the greeting. The leis were beautiful and it was a small but important start to our first trip to Hawaii.

Honolulu to Hilo One Day Fly Away Tour - Volcanoes National Park & Waterfalls

Reviewed by: Chris, 2007/06/24Be prepared for a FULL day! I was very satisfied with the hotel pickup/drop-off and air travel. Everything went according to the advertisement. Our tour guide ("Harry") on the Big Island was VERY good ... entertaining, knowledgeable, keeping us on-time, even beating the crowd from the other tour buses to the lunch line (buffet was over-priced at $17 each). The National Park Service had the road closed to the lava activity due to the recent earthquakes (tremors). But the black sand beach, crater visitors center and museum, lava tube, orchid nursery, and macadamia nut factory were well worth the visit. Don't know if I would go again, but you should include this activity at least one time!

Wonderful entertainment

It was great fun, but I would recommend the whole day activity because you need that much time to visit all the different islands and their shows at the center. This was my second time visiting the center and I would recommend it to anybody.

Kailua Beach Experience with Lunch - Snorkel, Bike & Beach Gear
Great Beach!!

We biked from Kailua to Lanikai and did a little snorkeling and then back to Kailua for a little R&R on the beach.Kailua was one of the best beaches we went to, great water and sand.... wish we did the kayaks but I guess it's best to reserve something for next time!

He made the tour as if Pearl Harbor had just been attacked and the events occurred on the day we visited. The many details and points of interest that was shared with us by the tour guide was graphic and realistic. The lunch was fantastic...actually one of a few wonderful meals of our entire 8-day stay on Oahu! I spoke with the managers of the Home of the Brave tours and complimented the tour guide on his energetic and positive attitude displayed by him the entire day. Wish we had more time on the tour with Home of the Brave....perhaps include the USS Missouri as a visit with this package. AAP

Reviewed by: Jim, 2007/06/06The time one can save once you land by using Platinum Limo is priceless versus a shuttle that makes numerous stops. I arrived at the hotel, in Waikiki Beach very quickly and the driver was so nice.
If anyone is looking for an afforadable, quick way to get to Waikiki Beach, Platinum Limo is the way to go.

A piece of history awaits...

Not only did we see Pearl Harbor, but we were taught so much about the military history Hawaii and being able to go to other points of military interest was a definite twist on the typical Pearl Harbor tour! The guide was a vertiable fountain of knowledge. It is easy enough to go to the Arizona Memorial, but that is just a mere tidbit of the vast expanse of history that is there for learning in the islands. Everything was perfect from pickup to dropoff, and the memories that I have from this experience are priceless.

We saw film clips, pictures and received information on the bus between each stop. I'm now inspired to learn much more about WWII and the history of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
