The lei was fresh orchids and it was beautiful.The lady who gave us the lei was not dressed Hawai'ian, and she put the lei around the neck. Latter we were stopped on the street and a local resident moved the lei's so they rested on our shoulder(this is the way it should be and the way it looks nice). I would like to have the presenter of the lei dressed at least in colorful Hawai'ian cloths and the lei put on us the right way. The lady was non-the-less very helpful and did guide us to the front of the airport where the limo was to pick us up. Thank you "Hawaii Activities".

North Shore Shark Adventures - Oahu Cage Diving Tour with Waikiki Transportation

We started the day being scared of sharks and ended up wanting to pat them! Probably not a good idea though as they have big teeth!

Honolulu to Hilo One Day Fly Away Tour - Volcanoes National Park & Waterfalls
Great Trip

It was awesome to see the waterfall at Rainbow Falls and to see an active volcano, craters, walk on a lava field, see plumes of smoke from an active volcano. The only downer of the trip is when we got to the airport to return to Oahu, our flight was delayed 1.5 hours. Of course, the tour company can't be responsible for this. The airline (Island Air) did put us on another flight (Hawaiian Airlines) which was also delayed. So we got back to Oahu over two hours later than expected. We left our hotel at 4:30am and didn't get back until 10pm. A very long day so be well rested, especially for the 1 mile (total round trip) hike over the lava field but it was well worth it and I'm glad we did it.

We booked a 4 hour kayaking activity with some apprehension. I can honestly say it was the best day of our holiday.
Not only because Lanakai beach was fantastic but mainly because of the young staff, like Andy and Nick our guides. The staff don't wrap you up in cotton wool. They are young, laid back but professional if needed and full of local knowledge.

Reviewed by: Amy, 2008/05/03This was one of the most beautiful activities I did while in Hawaii. It was great exercise and I would reccommend doing this with a partner. I did this by myself and I found it quite difficult, but then again I'm not in good shape at all. May be easier for someone who is in shape. The beaches are so beautiful that I ended up comming back on my own a few days later. Take an underwater camera because the view is great.

Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2008/05/03The Shark Adventure was loads of fun! The only complaint we had was the rough condition of the sea... that's just the way it goes! Be aware that you will get tossed about inside the cage if the seas are rough, and be sure to take Dramamine.

Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2008/05/03My wife and I had a great time. She is an experienced rider, but I was a novice. We both had a great deal of fun. Our guide, Michael, gave us a tour on the way out and back - we saw dolphins and watched the surfers. He also gave us a close-up view of one one of the reefs in the high surf conditions. It was awesome! The waverunner experience was really great. Though it seems that 30 minutes isn't a lot of time, let me assure you that we were more than ready to come in when the time was up. If you have never ridden in the ocean or in moderate surf conditions, be aware that it does take a lot of effort. You will feel it the next day (ok, we're in our 40's). We'll do it again when we come back!

Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2008/05/03The Limo arrived on time, and we were treated to a brand-new H3 stretch! The driver was courteous and helpful, and he made my wife and I feel comfortable. We got on the expressway, and the traffic started to back up. There had been a accident, and the delay would have made us miss our plane. Fortunately, the driver was able to get off the expressway and get around the accident. We made it to the airport with time to spare! I was so thankfull we had a driver!! there were three people who missed our flight because they were stalled in the traffic. This was worth every cent!

Arrival Made Easy
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2008/04/26We were in an airline-induced stupor getting off of the plane after the 9.5 hour flight. As directed, we called Platinum as soon as we retreived our bags. In approximately 3 minutes, the longest Lincoln Navigator I've ever seen pulled up, and the driver energetically loaded our bags and helped us into the limo. A ten-passenger stretch is a little overkill for my wife and I, but we certainly enjoyed the ride to the hotel. The driver even took our picture. I'm soooo happy that we didn't have to drive ourselves, as the trafic and one-way streets would have just aggravated our arrival. I'm glad we have the return trip to the airport booked with Platinum as well!

Relaxing drive into Waikiki

One reccomendation is for them to arrange pick up at a specific baggage carousel and have the names of the people they are waiting for on a sign. My husband and I walked around the Hololulu airport unsure where our car would be or even what it would look like. We tried to phone the number as listed on our itinerary but it did not work. So we asked an airport employee to assist us and they were able to phone the driver. Once we were in the stretch limosine and on our way it was very relaxing and the driver was extremely friendly. He was respectful enough to roll up the driver shade so my husband and I could have our privacy. One concern in the car was that the champagne/wine glasses were dirty and there was empty bottles in the cooler. It would've been nice to have the option to have some wine but at the very least clean glasses. Another thing- remember to get change so you can tip your driver. We unfortunately didn't h

Geared towards the older crowd
Reviewed by: LL, 2008/04/17I was told this was the most authentic luau on Oahu. The actually dinner was a bit crowded and the stage show was too loud and pretty boring. The buffet offered a variety of dishes but I had to eat from the kids side because that menu only offered the vegetarian option that actually had nutritional value.
When booking this trip it would have been nice to know up front that the cultural center was run by mormons so therefore there was no alcohol or caffeine available. The night show was worth seeing...very well done...just as good as a play in NYC.
Our driver picked us up 15 minutes late then proceeded to wait another 20 for 2 people who were on the list and were not there yet. Because of this we were unable to get the tour of the center that we paid for and they would not issue us tickets to come again some other day. If I could do it all over again I would go the full day, pack food and see the evening show. Probably rent a car and take a break down the street on the beach.

She was very surprised and thrilled to start her trip with flowers.
