Polynesian Cultural Center Tour Ticket - Full Day Admission, Dinner & Show
Slightly dissapointing
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2009/06/16I had gone to this Luau about 20 years prior and had a very favorable memory of it. This time, I have to say, was disappointing. First off, I bought the half day package. I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding or what, but our driver ( I also paid for transportation) said that our guide couldn't make it, so he took us on a tour when we got there. I felt the tour was rushed and not very impressive. I suppose for the half day, you shouldn't expect much.
He then took us to dinner a little late, and we were seated in the waaay back of the line, which makes a difference. The tables go to the buffet in order, so if you are towards the back, it's slim pickin's. The buffet itself was average, although considering what we paid, was below average for the price. I didn't get to see anything of the cooking of the pig or anything about the traditions, again, maybe because I was late.

Worth the leis
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2009/06/10My husband and I were first time visitors to Hawaii and wanted the full experience, including the lei greeting. We had already indulged by flying first class so we were nice and relaxed and so excited to be in Hawaii! The greeter was literally right at the gate so we saw her right away. Unfortunately it was just some chick in a flowered "Hawaii" shirt with our names on a piece of paper and a plastic grocery bag who placed our leis, said welcome to Hawaii and pointed us in the wrong direction to the baggage claim. I had planned on giving her a tip of a couple bucks but she bailed so quickly I didn't even get a chance. At least she stuck around long enough to take a pic of my husband & I with our leis! Luckily my husband and I were in such a great mood and happy to be there we just laughed it off and went on our way. The leis were beautiful and lasted several days, unfortunately we had no way to keep them cool and make them last longer, but we have wonderful pictures as keepsakes

Great start to a great vacation

They were delightfully surprised to be greeted by our friendly greeter as we arived in Honolulu. The leis were beautiful. Our greeter showed us through the airpoert to our connecting flight and was very helpful with island information.

Surprised Greeting

We were equally surprised when we got off the plan and saw the greeter holding our name in the air! The quality of the lei's were excellent and the greeter was extremely friendly. She escorted us to our baggage claim and made sure we were able to get to our ground transportation. Very well done and highly recommended, especially for first timers.

The Lei greeting was the icing on the cake as she had seen this many times on TV. The staff member met us as promised with a fantastic matching Lei for each of us. My one regret is that real flowers don't last but it was worth it. She then gave us assistance by guiding us to the inter-island terminal.

We Loved Our Greeting!

The BEAUTIFUL young lady was waiting for us right as we got off the plane....holding up a sign with all of our names...and then after the AWESOME surprise of my family.....she presented us all with a gorgeous lei of orchids...everyone was really surprised and it made a terrific start to our vacation....She also walked us to baggage claim and then helped me find our driver....very, very helpful and a real sweetheart........I highly recommend this for anyone coming to Hawaii.....you won't forget it!!!

Limo from Airport
Reviewed by: Chris B, 2009/05/30Taking the limo from the airport to the hotel was a great idea. We could have gotten by a little cheaper by taking one of the shuttles, but it would have taken quite a bit longer to get to the resort due to the stops dropping others off at their resorts first. Our driver Marc was great. This was our first time to Oahu, so he gave us some ideas of good places to eat and enjoy the nightlife.

We also had the same driver that picked us up at the airport the weekend before. Marc remembered us and and asked about our trip.

The lady was waiting at the gate for us and she was very friendly - she gave me a hug along with my lei :) Our orchid leis were very beautiful and full - we received numerous compliments on them. It was a very nice way to be welcomed to Hawaii on our honeymoon!

Their representative was very welcoming. She physically showed us to the baggage claim area and answered all of our questions about leaving the airport. Polynesian Cultural Center Admission Ticket with 6 Island Villages & Canoe Ride
Had a blast and learned a lot!
Reviewed by: Lisa T., 2009/04/29I went to PCC with my hubby and his family who are originally from Fiji. This was a lot of fun for my son and I and I learned quite a bit about my hubby's culture and the culture of surrounding islands.
The Samoan village was a lot more laid back than the other villages. They really try to get a laugh out of you. I don't remember the guys name... but he talked about his culture and he was making little jokes left and right.
The Fijian village was a lot more serious but just as fun. The did a lot of dances for us and even brought my mother-in-law on stage to dance with them. My son and I got fake Fijian tattoos that meant "warrior" and "queen" and since my hubby used to work at PCC we got a personal tour from him and his old boss.
The night show was very entertaining. Especially at the end with the Samoans brought the fire into the show.
I would definitely go again. We had a blast.

Smooth ride!
Reviewed by: ThommyDinAZ, 2009/04/29Our experience was just rount-trip luxury shuttle service from the Honolulu airport to the Sheraton Waikiki. The drivers were both very courteous and drove smoothly. Our pickup at the airport was delayed by baggage delivery at the termindal, but the driver was still very courteous, patient, and helpful. We were picked up in a new clean Lincoln Navigator and offered sodas and water. Our return pickup to the airport was on time and this time in a Navigator stretch limo. It was great service both times and we will surely use this service again!

Arizona tour
Reviewed by: witerhaven, 2009/04/19We had Olafe as our tour guide. He is fantastic. I am a history buff and yet I learned more about the Dec 7th attack in that one trip then I have learned in all of my life.
He really really knows his stuff. Thank you to him.
I have only one complaint, the instructions to get to the hotel to meet the tour were very poor.
I think that they would be fine if a person knew the area, but we had never even been on that island. However once again Olafe was great. He waited for us and we made it. I am 61 years old and I have wanted to see that memorial for at least 50 years. I would have been heart broken if I had missed it.
