Enjoyed the trip, room for improvement
Reviewed by: Robert, 2013/05/12Positives: our flights were on time and without incident with greeters ready for us at the terminal.
Our tour guide was fun and enthusiastic.
We made it to all places on itinerary without being rushed.
Negatives: I found it unusual compared to other tours that the guide stayed with the bus which meant we didn't get any feedback while visiting sites, only in between.
The coordination of three different groups of customers on different incoming and outgoing flights a) took a lot of time b) distracted the tour guide
If I had to do it all over again I would look for a tour where all customers are on the same flight or leave if customers haven't arrived at designated time / spot within 30 minutes of start time.

Great Service

The lady that greeted us was waiting for us we didn't have to wait for her and the car was extremely nice. The driver was very helpful and very nice as well. The car was extremely clean on both the inside and out. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a nicer way to travel from the airport.

Honolulu to Hilo One Day Fly Away Tour - Volcanoes National Park & Waterfalls
A jam-packed day
Reviewed by: Cathy, 2013/05/02We took the Big Island Volcano tour from Oahu last week - it was a long but enjoyable day.
Leroy was our guide/driver, and he was everything you could want from a tour guide - friendly, knowledgeable and patient. All of the places visited were interesting. There was no lava to be seen, just steam rising from Kilauea, but we knew to expect this when we booked. Leroy allowed just the right amount of time at each stop, and told us a lovely story about Pele, the goddess of fire, on the trip back down the mountain.
The only slight downside was that the GO Airlines flight back to Oahu was delayed by 2hrs, so it made for a very long day.
Make sure you wear sturdy shoes and take a jacket as the temperature drops significantly when up on the mountain. We were blessed with good weather, but I am told that it does rain quite a bit on the Big Island, so perhaps also take a foldup umbrella.

Polynesian Cultural Center Tour Ticket - Full Day Admission, Dinner & Show
Best day in Hawaii
Reviewed by: Steve Salisbury, 2013/04/21Booked an "Ambassador Package" as it seemed to offer a comprehensive itinerary and very glad we did as it took care of all the planning necessary to view the centre in a day.
The prime rib and seafood buffet was as good as expected considering the amount of guests it was catering for. The different cultural villages provided a good mix of information and humour as not to overload visitors brains. Guest involvement in traditional customs such as weaving and drumming was fun.
The "Ha" show was excellent, keeping the audience fully focused and entertained.
I would recommend the travel inclusive package from Waikiki. Smooth bus operation and after a full day, an opportunity to relax after the event. The guide on the outward journey was entertaining and informative.
What really made this a day to remember was our centre guide "Tori". Through all our years travelling the world, she was beyond doubt the most friendly, informative and caring person we have ever encountered in this role.

She presented him with a gorgeous white and purple lei that smelled so nice. It kept for a week in the fridge. We were all happy with the way it went and she even posed for a picture with him. We got Lei'd!

We signed up several months in advance and in our busy schedules never remembered to check back with Hawaiia Activities to insure they would be there. When our flight arrived late to our delight a professionally dressed lady was there waiting with our names and 4 leis (2 women's 2 men's). The qualify was beyond any lei I have had before. It was fresh and very well made. She took pictures for us and even escorted us to baggage claim. We toted the leis from Oahu to the Big Island and a week later they were still in pretty good shape. We finally dismantled them (so not to put the plastic string into the ocean) and put only the organic material into the ocean at southpoint as we made our individual wishes. We are so glad we did this for our new Hawaii travelers as it really made great start to another magical Hawaiian trip. We plan to use Hawaii Activities again when we go nex

Unique Experience

She would have us leave a little early to get to shows that were especially popular so we could get good seats. When it was time for dinner, we opted for the prime dining instead of the luau, so I cannot comment on the luau. After dinner we had a few minutes before going to the show. The show was a fabulous way to end the evening. It was a history of Hawaii that sort of reminded me of the Broadway play, "The Lion King". I would definitely take guests who had never been to the Polynesian Culture Center. I doubt that my husband and I would go again unless we wanted to try the luau. Not because it wasn't enjoyable, but because we have already experienced it. About the staff: they were wonderful! Our guides were so protective over us that it was hard to get away from the group to buy a soda! There is no alcohol served here which suited us fine. We did not appreciate having to wait nearly an hour upon arrival at the 'Big Island' airport for a second plane to arrive with further passengers. Also, as with all other tours, MANY fewer stops at commercial places where one is expected to buy would be great. There is more of value one could do in the time than trawl shops.

Amazing Service
Reviewed by: Donna B, 2013/02/16The Leis were so beautiful. We chose the deluxe leis and they could not have been fresher or prettier. This was a surprise for some in our party and the staff member from Hawaii Activities met us right as we came out of the restricted area at the airport. She was so sweet. Our group - despite the surprise - easily identified that this was for them, and the young lady was so very welcoming that this made the perfect start to our vacation. The leis lasted for about a week when kept overnight in the refrigerator. A very happy reminder of our journey.
In addition to providing the leis, the young lady was very helpful with regard to where we went for baggage, and just help getting us oriented. She answered any question any of our group had and walked with us for some time to answer them. She was so warm and so sweet!!!
Thank you so much for making the start to our dream vacation so special.

Reviewed by: Dirk, 2013/01/28One of the sites that I will never miss out on visiting during my frequent visits to Oahu is the Polynesian Cultural Center. This is an amazing place to spend a day if you are interested in learning more about the history and culture of Polynesia in a enjoyable and entertaining way. I strongly recommend that you spend the extra money and take advantage of the full day Ambassador Package. It is certainly well worth the extra cost! With it you will spend the entire day on a small group tour given by a knowledgeable guide who will take you to all the different villages where you will learn the history and culture of that particular Island from individuals who actually grew up on those Islands. Following a full day of touring the villages, you will eat a large meal. Here, with the Ambassadors Package, you have the choice of eating at the Luau or the Prime Rib/Seafood dinner. Once in a Lifetime

Never thought we would experience such an event, but when we arrive from our red eye flight and just outside the gate, we were greeted with our Lei's that also came with a special note that you can prepared by this company for your Loved one.
I chose the cheaper "silk lei" so it would last forever, vs the fresh flowered lei.
If it's your first time to vist the islands, surprise her, as they will be waiting for you to depart the plane with your name and message on a sign.

I have always found them to be on time with new extremely clean vehicles and very knowledgeable, friendly, well groomed, courteous drivers. After a long tiring flight it's nice to have a Platinum car and driver waiting for you rather than having to wait for a bus shuttle or cab to take you to your hotel!

あいにくの風と雨でしたが
フラット島経由で双子の島まで行ってきました。
ガイド無しプランだったため
最初はどのように漕いだらよいか悩みましたが、なれれば何とか前へ進むものです。
リーフの中でも風が強いと波があり、特に双子の島からの離岸は波の引くタイミングを見計らって漕ぎ出さないと波にもまれる可能性がありちょっと大変でした。
双子の島までは片道3kmほど有りますが2時間半ほどで往復できスタッフの方もビックリされていました。
でも、本当は雨と風でじっとしていると寒くて島に上陸してもユックリしていられなかったのです。
シュノーケリングも出来ませんでした。
結構大変でしたが、日本にいるとなかなか出来ない貴重な体験が出来ました。
双子の島まで行くと達成感がありますよ。
私のような年齢の素人でもカヌーは難しくありませんでした。
また救命胴衣を付けているので危険もありません。
心残りはきれいな海でユックリとシュノーケリングと双子の島の散策が出来なかったこと。
天候が良い時期になら再チャレンジしてみたいです。

A showery day at PCC

We wanted to have more time to check out the presentations etc. The presentations were interesting and well done. They came over as authentic rather than cheesy or Disneyesque. The staff were excellent all 'round. There were showers passing through, but it didn't take away from our day, as there were plenty of buildings/huts to head into, and showers don't seem to last too long in this part of the world. The entertainment and food at the Luau was good. It did take a long time to get to the lining up and eating part, but there were a lot of people. It would have been better if they started processing the tables through the buffet right after the unveiling of the pig, and we could just watch the entertainment as we went, instead of largely sitting for nearly an hour before anyone started lining up. The HA show was amazing, and I would recommend it too anyone going to Oahu. Overall an opportunity to learn about

Reviewed by: nanoa, 2013/01/01母と私達姉妹とおばと４人で参加しました。ハワイが初めての母と叔母にハワイを感じてほしくて申し込みしました。当日母達が時間を間違えて３０分程遅れてしまいましたが、スタッフの方の対応もよくてその後のスケジュールにも支障がでずに済みました。
内容はレイ作りとフラレッスンでしたが、それ以外にもスタッフの方の計らいでククイの実を拾って割ってみたりと他では体験出来ないような内容です。
レイとフラは先生も普段では、教えていただけないよな先生にきちんと教えて頂き初心者の母や叔母もとても喜んでいました。夜にはホテルで復習するほどに夢中になっていました。
ハワイというと観光、買い物、グルメと思いますが、ハワイの歴史や文化にふれあうこの様なツアーに参加してみるのもとてもいい思い出になると思います。
友達同士もいいけど親子で参加すると意外な発見や絆を感じることが出来ると思います。
とても大満足なツアーでした。ありがとうございました。
ただ、お水を頂けるのですが、一人一本のボトルではなく紙コップ一杯の水なのでマイボトルを持参したほうがいいと思います。
