Sharks Galore!
Reviewed by: Matt, 2010/06/05Myself and a close friend were visiting Oahu for 5 days, and she decided that we should take the time to go 'swimming with sharks.'
Now, keep in mind that I have a tremendous fear of drowning and also am not too keen on the idea of swimming with sharks, but I was convinced to 'live a little,' and I signed us up for the North Shore Shark Adventure- and I am SO GLAD that I did.
The staff were EXTREMELY helpful, witty, and sarcastic in the right places. They put everyone's fears to rest at the beginning of the tour, and were extremely knowledgeable about everything regarding the tour and more. (Who knew that specific sharks will just bump you with their noses and then leave you alone because they have taste buds on the outside of their bodies?)
For our tour, the wind was really picking up and the seas were a bit choppy, so there was a little bit more salt water swallowed than I care for and 1/2 our party got seasick..* (they recommend buying dramamine at the beginning of the to

Awesome Adventure
Reviewed by: Plano, TX, 2010/06/02What a great excursion! The most challenging part of the experience is getting in and out of the boat -- which really is not that hard. It is so great to see sharks up close. I highly recommend this adventure. My boyfriend was freaked out that I had booked this excursion...and now all he does is brag about it. He has no regrets and both of us would do it again in a heart beat. Don't miss out on this treat.

Exhilarating!

Definitely buy the DVD that is offered so you can enjoy the adventure without having to worry about taking pictures! There were a lot of swells the day we went out & even though I normally never get seasick, I was slightly nauseous by the end of the ride. There were a lot of sharks that day & the boat crew really made the experience worth while! GO DO IT!! You will not regret it!

Reviewed by: おきみどん, 2010/02/19ノースショアに行きたかったのは、高波とサーフィンの情景をを見に・・・思っていたのですが、サメツアーに参加です。
私は船酔いするし水が嫌い、もちろん泳げないし中学以来サメが怖いから海に行かない奴なんですが、これは！船酔いしても水が嫌いでも泳げなくても行って良かったです。
見学だけでもＯＫですので、水着はどうも嫌と思う方でも大丈夫、船の上からヒレや大きな姿が存分に楽しめます。
ＡＢＣストアなどに水中用カメラが売っているので御持参されることをお勧めします、船内15ドル・ＡＢＣ13ドル前後。
船に乗ったら会話はすべて英語ｗ
分からないなりにも注意事項はよく聞いていてください、日本語の注意事項冊子を渡されるので読んで下さい。
スタッフのおじさんとお兄さんは凄くフレンドリーです。
1回20分海に入ります、入る時の注意事項もあるので要チェック。シュノーケルは貸してくれますが、私は水中眼鏡だけでいいなと思いました。使った事無いので邪魔で邪魔で。
友人は泳ぎがかなり上手いため潜水したあと、「手を伸ばして触ろうかと思った」ほど近くまでサメがよってきています。 本当に３mはゆうにある子達がウヨウヨ。
おじさんが投げる餌に悠然と襲い掛かってました。
何もかも苦手な私がなんかとっても楽しかった、確かに苦手だったので檻にしがみ付いていた為、腕が物凄く筋肉痛です。ハワイに行くときはまた予約しようかなと思います。
日本ではなかなかこういったツアーは無いと思うのでお勧めです。
海が物凄くきれい、景色も良い、サメもでかい
とてもいい経験でした。
小さいお子さんは止めた方がいいでしょう。
心臓が悪い方も同様、水が冷たいしサメ見たらショックかも。
船がかなり高速で動くので気温が低い時期は厚手の上着を持参された方がいいと思います。
今度行く時は冷たい水につかる練習して行こうと思います。

Reviewed by: AKKO&KAZU, 2009/11/23念願のシャークアドベンチャーにいきました。外国の方と我々も含めて３組でしたが、他の方は４人同時に入ったりで狭そうでした。時間は十分すぎるほどあり１５分から２０分くらいだったと思いますが、こちらからもう結構だと言うまでさせてくれます。檻から手足ははみ出るし緊迫感はあります。スタッフは淡々とこなしている感じですので自分たちで楽しむ方は問題ありません。懸念された船酔いも日本から強力なのを２本飲みましたので差ほどではありませんでした。レンタカーでワイキキから行きましたが道も迷うことなく快適でしたが帰りはさすがに眠く疲れますので気をつけてください。

Reviewed by: Marina, 2009/10/31The crew was great and we had a good amount of time to view the sharks (usually I think these activities end too quickly, but I was very happy here). Unfortunately, when I went the waves were really strong and I got bruised and sea sick being tossed around, but I think if the weather was more calm, it would've been really amazing. I would definitely do it again. I do, however, wish that the cage was larger or that they would let no more than 2 people in at a time because there's not that much space to maneuver, and if there are waves you're always running into the other people. The sharks are very graceful and beautiful and do come rather close so that you can get some great visuals, but for those that are afraid, they never come close enough for one to feel unsafe. In fact, they don't seem particularly interested in the people as much as they are in just swimming around. I didn't purchase a video, but I think I would next time, just because it was very difficult to get good pictures w

ハワイは６回目で、乗馬、シュノーケル、サーフィン・セスナ体験搭乗、ダイヤモンドヘッド登山、レンタカー・・・といろいろやってきましたが、このツアーには初めて参加しました。
サメを間近で見られて結構楽しかったです。
きわめて安全なのでファミリーでも大丈夫です。
スタッフの対応も良かったです。
ハワイ初心者にもリピーターにもお勧めのツアーだと思います。

JAWS!!!!
Reviewed by: HONEYMOONERS!!!!, 2009/08/12haha, yes misleading title, BUT what an event! the sharks were amazing and the staff were awsome. The staff know so much about the sharks and ensure ur safety at all times. You get a long time in the water, and lots of views of sharks and small fishes. I recommend going as early as possible to avoid waves as it was hard to breathe at times; and we took the 10am outing! Sign the petition they offer you at the end because wildlife groups are trying to shut them down, and they are in no way harming these amazing sea creatures!

The Highlight Of My Trip
Reviewed by: Paul, Dallas, TX, 2009/03/24This will truly test your sea legs, which I truly had. So if you get sea sick, I wouldn't recommend it, but maybe some motion sickness pills may help. Once in the water you don't notice anything looking from above, but once you stick your head underneath you are completely surrounded by sharks. It was thrilling and exciting at the same time. My only concern was hoping that my underwater camera was taking some great shots, which later I found out was on the wrong setting. I was tempted to do it again, but luckily I bought the DVD of my swim. I would surly do it again when I return. It was the most thrilling thing that I have done in my life.

Amazing Time
Reviewed by: Shark Fanatic, 2009/03/21This tour is definitely worth the money! We had an amazing time! Make sure to take Dramamine ahead of time and make sure to have enough battery power for your camera because you will take tons of photos. If you have never snorkeled, I recommend figuring out how to snorkel ahead of time. We also saw whales (it was the middle of whale season) and you could here them if you were really quiet under the water. We had to rebook due to weather and the staff was great at getting us a new date/time that worked with our schedule. The only regret I have is the video that was shot for us. It was very expensive for the footage we received (about 10 minutes) and the wrong couple was intereviewed at the beginning of the video and at the end of the video the camera wasn't turned off so we have about 5 minutes of a white wall on the front of the boat. All in all, it was an amazing time and we would definitely do it again!

So many sharks
Reviewed by: boogwa, 2009/03/19The staff said they counted 15 sharks down there with us and they were all over. It was really neat to get that close to a shark. They were there the minute we got in and put on a good show. Only downside though was that off shore there was a storm off island that were creating a lot of big waves and half the boat got seasick. Take the dremamine when they tell you and it should be a great time.

I am enthralled with sharkweek on Discovery channel, but terrified of sharks. I was very hesitant in taking this tour, however believe it or not I'm the one who signed my wife and I up for it. I'M GLAD I DID! What an amazing experience. The staff were cool and kept things low key, didn't make any problems for anyone. They both were knowledgeable regarding the sharks we encountered. The only thing I would ask to change would be the viewing glass, not as big as I would have liked it, but then again I'm selfish. The other thing I would ask they enforce, or at least remind those in the cage, please don't let your legs go straight out. I kept getting kicked in the back cause the lady thought she could just hold onto the handrail and let herself strectch out...very annoying. Aside from those things...I'm definately going to do this tour again when I co

I bumped to the cage lots of time and hands went outside the cage. I was so scared. I thought the shark would come and bite me. If you are 1st time user of snokel like me better learn it before.
It was amazing as sharks are not interested in human at all. I saw Whale too.
It will be the 1st and the last in my life.

great adventure...seemed surreal

It was something different and pretty cool. it honestly feels like you are watching a video of the sharks swimming by. I don't know if it's always this way, but we were surrounded by at least 20 of them...very cool, and again, surreal. the crew of 2 was awesome and entertaining.

Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2009/02/09This was an adveture of a life time. The crew was fantasitc and very understanding. I wasn't sure about going in the cage since it wasn't enclosed completely. But the crew was wonderful and understanding. Once they got me out in the water and the sharks started coming around I had an anxiety attack and didn't know if I could stay in the water very long. The crew members talked me through the whole experience and said they would pull me in I needed. But I needed to do one thning for them. Take a breath and go down to just look once. I did and was able to stay in the cage the whole time. This was an experience that I will never forget and would do again if have the chance.

I get very sea sick so I made sure to prepare which was a VERY good idea. I took meclazine the day before and then that morning about an hour before leaving. I took the first tour which is the calmest and clearest time. It definitly paid off because we had three people that were turning green on the boat.
Finding sharks was no problem. They came right up to the boat HUNGRY!! When it was your turn to get in it was amazing! It was scarier to see them above the water than when you got in. The water was so amazingly blue! The sharks were so gracefull and you didn't see any of the scariness you do from outside of the water.
I just wish that my expensive underwater camera worked!! None of my pictures turned out! I still have the moment and picture in my mind forever but I wanted to share it with others.
Do not miss this tour!! No mater how nervous you are if you event want to do this a little you should not

Experience worth every single penny
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2008/12/12I went alone...but it was all the worth while! I highly recommend this experience...and it is an experience. They have two sides of plexiglass on the cage and when your in the water it feels like you are swimming right next to them! All the excitement and enjoyment of swimming with sharks! Spend the money, take the time, do whatever you need to do to fit this in! And the location outside of the tourist traps was also a plus!
