I’m glad I did my research in looking for the best turtle and snorkel cruise because this company surpassed my expectations!! The employees were outstanding, wonderful lunch provided and a couple drinks to top it off. We saw turtles, eels, flying fish, and other tropical fish!! Then they took us out farther to find whales after lunch and we did get a few glimpses of some whales:) fun was had by all!!! Thank you !!!!

I was a little hesitant when I initially booked this, just because of the price. But, WOW I was wrong. Such a great experience, the boys on the boat were great to work with and knowledgeable. Drinks were great and just what you want after swimming in the ocean. Would 100% recommend. Thanks for a great time!

What a great experience! Our group had two people in their thirties and two in their sixties and everyone had a blast. We saw so many turtles, a few schools of fish and some other unique fish around. Great tour for those wanting to try snorkeling. The staff was amazing too! Although we didn't have kids in our group, the staff was interacting great with those family groups aboard with us.

Oahu Turtle Canyon Snorkeling Cruise from Waikiki - Living Ocean Tours
Perfect trips for a group of first timers.

Living ocean tours is a great family business that created a great experience for our group of first time snorkelers. The 5 person crew was friendly, knowledgeable and helped us have a fun and safe trip on the water. We were able to see multiple turtles including one that came up about 10 feet away from us. Also, plenty of fish to see in between turtle sightings. Plus we got to see a pod of dolphins when we first arrived at the reef.

All that was promised was not fulfilled on this snorkel tour. The staff was nice. I got a little sea sick and they took care of me. But the experience was nothing like what they promised. It was a party boat not a snorkel tour. I would not recommend to any families.

This experience was amazing.The pick up location was super easy to find. Staff were so funny and friendly. We got out in the water and the staff swam with us to lead us to the turtles. We saw so many sea turtles. I definitely recommend doing this at least once in your lifetime.I'd love to do this again on my next trip to Oahu!

This was a fantastic experience! Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable crew. I appreciated the brief snorkel lesson and tips. We were able to see turtles, a variety of fish, and during the sailing portion dolphins and whales. Overall great experience with no complaints! Favorite snorkel boat!

Love, love, LOVE this boat! It's a beach catamaran so no transportation is needed. Plus, they provide you with FINS that are super comfy and adjustable. After snorkeling, you get some snacks and can purchase drinks on board. We got the souvenir Holokai shaker to keep. We did the 9am cruise which was perfect for visibility and to catch a little bit of sun before it got too hot in the afternoon. Would recommend!

No frills catamaran sail in Waikiki, lots of Turtles

With this cruise, we were provided with snorkels and snorkel vests. However, no fins are included. I'd recommend finding some fin rentals as it can be pretty exhausting to snorkel without them. Saw lots of turtles and fish! This catamaran is also a beach catamaran so the boat comes right up on the sand. It's right across from Duke's Statue (not to be confused with Duke's Waikiki restaurant). If you'd like a short activity in Waikiki to get out on the water, this is perfect! We did the AM cruise and visibility was perfect.

Moana Swim with Turtles Tour - Kid's Friendly Waikiki Snorkeling Cruise
SPACIOUS catamaran, great visibility, lots of fish

This catamaran is super nice! Since it was an early snorkel cruise, we opted to add-on a light breakfast so we could sleep in a bit more in the AM. Visibility was amazing. On the boat ride to the snorkel spot, we were so lucky and saw dolphins. This is incredibly rare in Waikiki so we were so excited to have gotten the chance to see them! There were tons of fish at Turtle Canyon. This boat provided us with floatation belts AND fins. The fins helped us out so much and we were able to cover so much more area than if we didn't use them. Loved this cruise & would recommend!

If you're looking for a nice, quiet morning...this isn't it. BUT, if you're looking for a fun day on on the water with lots to do, this would be a fun choice for you. You get a lot of value: stand-up paddle boards, water trampoline, snorkeling, kayaks, etc. I liked that it was only a 1/2 day activity. We did the morning since the water is calmer and still had our whole day ahead of us after.

Overall this snorkel adventure isn’t that great there is only one small reef with maybe 3 turtles and that’s it. Also you are swimming around 3-4 other boats that have about 20 people each so it gets really packed really fast in the small little area. It’s a good beginner snorkel trip but if you are wanting to get a quality experience with a big reef to swim around I would look elsewhere

There are a lot of similar experiences down here, but this crew is tried and true. They have been doing this longer and better than the competition out there, and the experience is truly for those who want a no nonsense visit to turtle canyon. Took my wife and 6 year old son on the morning snorkel cruise. It was conveniently located and easy to navigate finding. Mina and the team were very helpful, accommodating and ensured that we had an awesome time . We spotted about 5 turtles and tons of schools of fish.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. It was a really fun experience. We got to see turtles and spinner dolphins! It was a great way for us to end our trip in Hawaii. It is recommended though to know swimming well if you want to snorkel as the life jackets are not buoyant enough to keep you afloat.

Rude swimmers. Please describe how to snorkel with aloha before disembarking.

I get this on every tour, but newbies need instructions on how not to be rude. Don’t flip in my face. Stop swarming at me, and please… there is no reason to flail your appendages rampantly for no reason when there are 50 swimmer right next to you. Please explain this to swimmers before hand. In fact, in a small area, there is no reason for flippers. This would have been much more enjoyable if no one had them.
Turtles were neat. I would not tell anyone else if you see one because everyone swarms and hits you in the face/gut/you name it, as they flail to see it.

THIS WAS FUN!!!

My wife and I cam to Oahu for the first time with one thing in mind; we HAVE to go snorkeling! We initially chose Living Ocean Tours based on the affordability, but the experience was SO much better than we expected for the price! Not only did they thoroughly go over ever aspect of snorkeling, they GUIDED us to the good spots to see turtles, fish, and even some awesome reefs! The guides were even outgoing and easy to talk to which just made the whole experience that much better. My wife and I HIGHLY recommend checking them out. Thanks to the captain for getting us out into the ocean, and thanks to Joe and Preston for finding some awesome spots to see sea turtles! MAHALO

An Incredible Experience

The crew from Moana Catamaran were awesome, laid back, and super helpful the entire experience! The classic island music, the weather, the catamaran.. all the vibes were perfect!
We saw a couple schools of Dolphins on the surface (which I believe is NOT common, so keep that in mind if you book!) and saw about 8-9 sea turtles during our time in the water. A few of them hung around the whole time and swam towards us so close we had to swim away to give them the distance they need.
The crew gave us everything we needed- snorkels, fins, and a floaty to make things super easy for our time in the water. I really enjoyed that it was a waist floaty and not a neck inflatable one like some of the other boats out there. Made it much more enjoyable.
Overall, we were mesmerized by the turtles and the fish / sea life that surrounded us, and had an amazing crew to take us to it. 10/10, 5/5, whatever you want to take from this. My wife said this was "the most amazing experience of her life", and I might even agree. :)

Our guide got in water and spotted turtles and shared a lot of interesting information. We saw so many Turtles and close up. I got to hold a sea urchin. We also saw probably 4 species of fish, pretty. Staff, so friendly and fun, and kept the drinks coming.

Water was super choppy which was not their fault. Captain Junior was kind of a jerk. He was preoccupied with his phone and his smokes. While we road out to the spot, the intro was more about tips and rules than about the snorkel experience. I ended up tipping half of what I planned to tip prior to the trip. I would have liked a little more instruction on how to use the snorkel gear. I was told "it's pretty self explanatory." Bella was the life guard and pulled the anchor. She was a badass. Only had about 45 mins in the water and no time to enjoy "free drinks." Would only recommend if you know how to swim, snorkel, can pound drinks and are only looking for a cheap ride out to sea.♀️

At first it we questioned ourselves on where to meet (no signs whatsoever) but it was exactly where the instructions said- beachfront in front of Duke Statue. Otherwise instructions were all very clear & easy to follow. Guys on our boat were friendly and super relaxed- could bring anything on the boat in terms of food and drinks. Boat ride was beautiful. Was a clear day so we saw a lot of turtles- got to spend lots of time on the water. Chill vibes all throughout just the way we like it. Had a blast for first time snorkelers!!!!

My friends and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in Honolulu. The turtle swim was our first activity. It met all of our expectations and then some. The three men who took out out to swim made us feel very comfortable and we saw several turtles while snorkeling. The catamaran ride was exciting and the views of the island were breathtaking. This is a must activity for anyone visiting this island.

I would not recommend snorkeling with this company. The captain implied turtles would be all around us--we only saw a couple turtles after everyone was out of the water and only saw a few fish while snorkeling. Also, flotation devices were defective--they kept deflating while in the water. Lifeguard apologized for bad snorkeling spot and defective equipment. Save your money and don't snorkel here!
