Took daughter to Hawaii for her birthday. Wanted her to experience the Islands and how each of the polynesian islands were different yet simuliar. So informative and would do again and again if I have the chance. Thank you Angelo for the special birthday crown you make for my daughter. I asked her what her favorite part of her trip was and she said The PPC. You all were awsome. A big Mahalo to you all.

This was one of the highlights of my vacation. My husband and I booked this activity before we arrived in Oahu, and I was actually a little nervous about it as it got closer. But, I have to say--this was a ton of fun. The other couples in our group were quite a bit younger than us--we are in our late forties--but I think this activity would be OK for almost any age and level of mobility. The crew was professional and skilled on the water, and everything felt safe and secure. And the ride was fantastic! The crew took pictures of the whole event and the memory card was available for purchase at the end of the ride for $30. These are some of my favorite vacation pictures, and proof to our kids that we did it! The flight itself was gentle. You gained height steadily and the views were terrific. The crew brought you back down, gave you a quick dunk in the ocean and landed you back on the boat. Go ahead and do this!

This was my first, and probably the only trip to Hawaii. The description of the Luau sound wonderful, and the entertainment is truly very good. The food is very ordinary however. I did not expect to eat a fried chicken thigh (the only choice)! The pork was very salty and everything else very bland tasting. If you have a choice, go somewhere else for the meal. The "upgrade" to front row is also not worth the extra price. You can see very well from the least expensive seats.

First off, go all out and get the top-of-the-line package because you are treated like a king/queen. As a first-time visit for my girlfriend, she was enthralled. From the moment you walk in, each aspect of the visit is well-planned. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the food well prepared and the show a treat to behold. You won't be disappointed!

As a first time parasailer, I thought it was AMAZING! I would totally go again and recommend that others go too. Hawaii Parasailing is awesome! The boat crew (Captain Jason and, darn it, I don't remember his name) and the shuttle driver were superb!!! They made everyone on the outing feel special and happy. As "bigger" girls, we were thrilled to get to ride together. I have to say that the office staff has something to be desired though. The girls were rude and condesending. I did not like dealing with them. But since we didn't have to deal with them too much it did not take away from the overall experience.

The show and dinner were all great, although the difference between booking premiere and regular show seems only to make sure that you have a front table. I was very lucky to sit with a family from Canada who were very friendly and welcoming. This show has seating at large round tables, and so as an individual realize that you are going to be sitting with someone else.
The show itself was first rate and the singers and dancers put their all to it. There is a small part of the show at the beginning that really didn't make sense where they played like to the were doing work in a village....they should let the dancers and singers rest and abandon this part.
This is an expensive but on Waikiki event, no bus to ride on, but let me share with you if you are in the restaurant right next to the show, or are on the public beach behind the show you could see the whole thing for free!
Aloha

This was the second time we've done the Starlight Luau. We liked it the first time and we weren't disappointed the second time around. The biggest plus is the food; it is varied and delicious. The performers are pretty good as well. The one negative is the setup; the tables are packed so everyone is crammed together like sardines. A little more elbow room would make this a 5 star review. We've been to other luau's that you need to take a 40 minute bus ride to get repeatedly bitten by bugs on the beach; this one has better food and far more convenience.

This was a repeat activity for us so obviously we like it before. It is surprisingly peaceful once you are up in the air and the views are spectacular. I like to stick my arms out a la Superman; I figure this is the closest I'll ever get to feeling like I'm flying. The only negative is my wife didn't care for it the last time, so she just went as an observer (rides in the boat but doesn't parasail). She loves the boat ride so that works for her, but the crew doesn't let anyone go up solo so if you don't have a partner, you end up going up with some stranger. The crew is good at what they do and are very safety conscious.

My sister and I had lived on Oahu for 5 1/2 years in the 50s and returned for her 70th birthday. The PCC was not in existence when we lived there but I had visited it with my husband in the 70s. Since we didn't think we would travel to Hawaii again, sis and I decided to go "whole hog" and booked the Super Ambassador package for this outing and luau.
To say it was well worth the extra money is putting it mildly! We were treated like royalty from the minute we got off the bus.
Beke (from Mongolia) was our personal guide for the day and gave us each a beautiful shell lei which identified us all day as SAs. Beke couldn't have been more helpful - she carried any extras we had (umbrellas, sweaters - you name it), got us ponchos when it started to rain, dried off the seats we had to sit on for performances after it rained; if there was anything to be done, she did it and with the friendliest attitude we could have wished for. Luau and night show (Ha) were both enjoyable! only problem is that you are on your own once you get there unless you want to pay more for a guide..didnt think you really needed one especially if you just follow the map in order you can see the whole park in a day!

The luau was good. The only thing I would suggest is to not have the people waiting outside so before getting on the bus. The temperature outside was already hot and then the heat from the bus's engine made it worst. We waited outside the bus for 45 minutes before we could get on.

Typical luau is on a buffet style dinner and sometimes you have to wait in a long line before you get your food but with Aha Aina, everything is conveniently served to your table, delicious appetizers, filling main entrée, and multiple choices of beverages. Their servers are fast too, very friendly and accommodating. I can only say good things as I totally enjoyed it! I'll be sure to go again.

Then you get a little bit of Polynesian history of how to get and break a coconut, how the old hawaiians catch fish, and the many different ways to wear a sarong. Then everyone gathers in the Imu Stadium where you see the unveiling of the slow cooked wrapped in Ti leaves, Kahlua Pig from the pit. Then they sit you down for a delicious luau feast. And you can asks for 2nds and 3rds. Then concluding night of an hour long fantastic entertaining show of music, hula dancing and a Samoan fire dance. It is located in Ko Olina. Fabulous ocean views and sunset. Do not forget your camera! Alooooooooooha!

I've lived in Waikiki for the last 5 years, a block from beach, and watched the para-sailers every day. It was always on my to do list but I never made the time. After finally doing it, I wish I had done it sooner! It's such a fun and beautiful experience. Not only do you get to parasail, you get the boat ride and the view of Waikiki from the ocean! We also saw whales jumping which was really the icing on the cake. Being able to float above Waikiki was scenic and peaceful and a rush, all at the same time. The crew is very talented and a make the experience fun as well. What an amazing feeling as you lift off the back of the boat and gently float up. A must do!

This is far from any traditional luau experience where the typical and expected food and Polynesian show has been conceptualized to provide a very unique Hawaiian culinary and entertainment experience. The narrative is centered around history rather than mythology, unusual for a luau. They moved us indoors because they thought it was going to rain. The food was tasty and filling, service was good, show excellent and informative and the ambiance of this pink hotel was magic ... oh and it's open bar too!!!

I try to come to Hawaii as often as I can, and I have been to a lot of different luaus, and the Royal Hawaiian is without a doubt the best I have ever attended.
The food is utterly mouthwatering and they have the perfect combination of traditional and modern cuisine. I must say that the MC was great and had a fantastic way of intertwining stories about the food and the entertainment together. The dancing, singing and of course the fire knife dance just blew me away. So glad that I decided to do this!

We easily could have spent all day at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and definitely hope to go back and do so someday! But for our 6-year old daughter, that would have been far too much. She enjoyed the canoe ride, the tattoos, the leaf weaving, and the poi demonstration. She is still talking about the dinner. Us grown-ups also loved the experience. The luau and the after show were exceptional! Far better than a previous, more expensive and over-rated experience on Maui. I think that if you only do one tourist activity on Oahu, this should be it, including the show. The HA show is WELL worth the price!
