My husband and I did the hike bike tour with Jeremy and it total exceeded our expectations! Not being olympic athletes, more like weekend warriors, we were a little apprehensive about the hike. It was amazing! He paced it well. He
stopped to let us taste some of the local plants and to point out the rare foliage in the rainforest. Our return hike included a rare trail through the dense bamboo forest. Absolutely amazing!! Finishing the day was a relaxing down hill bike ride with some of the most amazing views of the island. Would recommend this activity highly! Oh by the way, wear old hiking shoes/sneakers it is very muddy in the forest.

My family (wife and 2 teenagers & I) did the bike and hike tour last week. Our excursion lead was Mateais and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and somewhat entertaining with his canned one liners that he's been working on for quite a while. The tour started with a bike ride (mostly downhill) in a very scenic neighborhood with great view of downtown and into the valley. The hilight of the tour was the hike into the rain forest. It was quite a kick being able to get lost so close to civilization on a path that not many people have been on. The hike was not strenuous and the rain forest definitly lived up to its name. Recommend you wear the rain boots they offer as its is very wet at times and muddy in parts. The path was scenic taking you through deep brish, through small streams, up to an isolated waterfall and then through a mile long stretch of a bamboo forest. The kids & I enjoyed doing something unique on Oahu and they have told me this was one of the hilights for them and some

We did the hike-only portion up to a waterwall. Beautiful rainforest hike on the way up, and impressively thick bamboo forest on the way back down. We appreciated that bug spray, water, and snacks were provided. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and patient with the occasional extra time it took our 6-year old daughter to navigate some slippery and steep areas. Bike Hawaii was understanding and flexible with us when we accidentally started on the wrong activity, and easily re-scheduled us to another day so we could enjoy the activity we meant to attend. I'm sure we will use their business again when we return to Oahu.
Sidenote: our transportation back to the hotel was a 6-seater vehicle, with 7 intended passengers. Much Thanks to the cab driver who insisted that it was not safe for me to simply "hold my daughter on my lap" for the return ride! I totally agree.

If you like outdoor activites, this is the one for you. The staff was friendly, efficient and made the excursion fun for everyone. The hike through the rainforest was beyond my expectations. Hike up to a 200 ft waterfall and back down through a bamboo forest. Great fun! Finish with a relaxing downhill ride on a mountain bike stopping for lunch on a hill overlooking waikiki and diamondhead in the background. A great change of pace from the usual beach/shopping activities on Oahu. Take my advice and do this excursion.

Well worth the experience for the activity and the views. It is a moderate hike, so if you are overwieght and/or out of shape, it takes a lot of effort. Take water, go earlier rather than later, and don't go on an empty stomach. Very enjoyable.

This is my 3rd time to hawaii. I have been on one hike, but it wasnt as AWSOME as this one. First off, i was worried my 7 year old would get tired, he didnt. He survived the whole hike. Our Tour guide was really nice and explained alot of the natures around us. When we got to the highlight of our hike, it was UNbelievable. The waterfall was amazing and well worth the muddy, wet hike. Althought it rained on us on the way back, it was so HOT out- it didnt matter. this trip was so well WORTH it. I would do it again.

If you only have time to do one hike while in Hawaii, I suggest this one. Hiking through a rainforrest is something you'll never forget. Part of the hike is on a path and part of it your guide is creating for you, Our guide Mattias is very fun and knew all about the history of the area.
The bike ride was an adventure and thank God DOWN HILL! Your so busy concentrating on the road you don't get to see much of your surroundings, however we did stop for lunch at a beautiful overlook of the city.
This adventure is highly recommended, but only if you don't mind a little mud.
Thanks for the good time!!!

It was such a beautiful experience to walk through a lush tropical rain forest. The hike was not strenuous, which allowed me to take in all of the beautiful sights and sounds of the rain forest. The waterfall was definitely the highlight of the hike. This is where we took a break and had plenty of photo opportunities. The pictures we took were so beautiful they could probably be used for a post card picture.

Our bike and hike tour was amazing. I wish I could rate this higher than 5 star. Matis (sorry for the spelling) did an amazing job along with the other guides. Everything was done 1st class from the pickup to the drop off. I just wish on our 1st trip to Hawaii in 2008 that I would have discovered this. The views were picture perfect. We were given plenty of time to take pictures, relax, and have a great time. This was definetly the best part of the trip.

The Manoa falls really depend upon the time of the year and rainfall level to see if it's a fall or a trickle. The hike was nice enough, although towards the end, it became quite steep and somewhat slippery. I was a little worried as I took a 7 year old, but somehow, no-one fell. I don't know if it was exactly my idea of a rain forest, as the flora is not really that diverse, nor are there any exotic birds or wildlife. It could easily be handled without a guide, I am not that sure that our guide added that much to the hike. It is a public park, so there is no entrance fee or anything. You could probably drive yourself and take your time on the hike. We, however, going with a group walked at quite a steady pace.

Staff is very friendly. Jeremy and Kalani (I prob spelled his name wrong) were very knowledgeable, helpful. There was and older gentleman on the hike who had issues with heat exhaustion, and Jeremy even took off his t-shirt to help the man, that maybe shouldn't have been on the hike in the first place. It was great that we had the same two guides during throughout all three excursions. There are only two things they don't tell you before you go. One is that the hike is a real hike, not just a stroll through the woods, and bit challenging for someone who would become winded from climbing stairs. lol We were able to do the hike with no problems, but its just a word of advise. Second there is only one port-a-potty available at the beginning of the day, so make sure you go before it starts. But don't worry you will sweat out most of the water lol. You won't have access to another bathroom until the start of the snorkel. Other than those few surprises we had a wonderful time and everythi

This was a terrific hike, however I really wouldn't recommend for young children. There were some pretty big steps and places you had to find your way as the step up was 24 inches or better and with rain, the path can be pretty muddy and slippery. Good shoes are important. Trail is narrow in places and someone has to step off to the side if there are people going both directions. Lots of breathtaking plants and flowers to see. Since the falls are rain fed, their size is completely dependent on the rain. If it hasn't for a while, you may only see a wet wall where the falls are.

We were accomplished bikers and had to wait many times for slow people to catch up. It would have been more fun if they had divided the group up and let the fast ones go,go,go.
