Had a Fabulous time!
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2009/09/20This was such a unique and a culture learning experience. We had a great time celebrating the history of Hawaii and its main events that occurred in the past. The food was delicious and quiet filling. The appetizer and the entree were my favorites. YUM! As you entered the Aha Aina, you're welcome with the many smiles from the staff, with their signature drink and their delicious pupus of Kalua pork, ahi poke, or poi. The staff were friendly, and the service was excellent! We will definitely recommend this event to our friends and family. We will do this again on our next visit to Hawaii!

Great evening, great memories!

The meal was great and we were surprised how quickly everyone was served. The entertainment was top notch with just enough audience participation. We also enjoyed taking home the picture that will remind us of the lovely time we had in such a beautiful setting.

Reviewed by: Lilly, 2009/09/15This is a MUST do for EVERYONE. We did the VIP box at the back and had the best seats in the place. The stage is still pretty close from the box and it is raised up at the same level as the VIP box so you see over top of everyone else who is in the general seating area. The VIP treatment really makes the whole experience so much better you get 2 pictures taken and don't have to wait in line ups. I couldn't imagine waiting in the long line that formed for the buffet!! There were lots of booths and activities before the dinner and show started we wandered around and watched some of the acts and tried the games they had set up, We walked out to the beach and the rocks which had an amazing view. It was just such a good time, perfect for the first night or two in Hawaii to get you in the "Hawaiian" mood!!! If you are going to do this activity do the VIP, you'll be happy you did :) The show was really good. Kids will love this but if you are a couple it is quite romantic!!

We had a tour guide with us that allowed us to probably see more things but at the same time we couldn't really wander off on our own to see things that interested us. Reviewed by: monica, 2009/09/11Had a lot of fun. Becca was a blast! She entertained us all the way there and back. I was expecting the food to taste better. The only food I truely enjoyed was the pig, which is surprising because I don't eat pork. I decided that I was not going to pass up the opportunity to taste this as it was prepared under ground. The show was great! I enjoyed all the dancers and different ceremonies throughout the evening.

Reviewed by: アルセウス, 2009/09/10会場に入るのにこれでもかというくらいならんで待たされた。はいるところで1グループごとに写真をとっていたのでそれが混雑の原因と思われますがもうちょっとなんとかならないものでしょうか？食事もホテルで出す料理なのでもうちょっとなんとかならないのでしょうか？まずかったです。ショーの内容もシェラトンカイウラニのショーの方がハワイの歴史をたどっていて面白かったです。全体的にいまいちでした。

他の方の体験談通り、お迎えの大型バスに乗り込むとそこは別世界！日本人は私達のみでアメリカ本土からが大半、他にオーストラリアやロシアからいらした方もいました。ガイドさんは日本語も少しわかる方でしたが、ツアーの注意点も含め車中でのトークは全て英語のため、英語が全くわからないという人には不向きかもしれません。
パラダイス・コーブはワイキキからハイウェイをひたすら西へ、空港を越えパール・ハーバーも越えた所にあり、バスの乗車時間が長いのでエアコンの効きすぎが気になる方は上着が1枚あるといいと思います。
到着するとウェルカム・ドリンク（アルコールはIDの提示が必要です）で歓迎され、貝殻のレイを首にかけてもらって記念撮影。この写真は、気に入れば帰りに購入することができました。15ドル位だったかな？？
お食事の席まで案内され、席を確保するためテーブルに貼られたシールに名前を書いたらそこからはフリータイム。パーク内は様々なアクティビティやクラフトなどが体験できるようになっていたので、私達はオオイヘというヤリ投げのようなゲームや、ポリネシアン・アートのタトゥー（洗えば落ちるもの）をしてもらったりしてお食事までの時間を自由に過ごしました。
お食事はハワイアン・ルアウ・ビュッフェで、特にロミロミ・サーモンとカルア・ピッグが美味しかったです。今回のプランにはドリンクチケットが2枚含まれていたので、決められたメニューの中からカクテルと交換することができました。
注意点としては、自分のバス番号と帰りの時間をしっかり確認しておくことと、備考欄にもある通り別途チップの支払いが必要ということです。クラフトやドリンクをサーブしてもらった時など、日本には馴染みのない習慣なので忘れがちですが、ツアー代金は支払済みといえども気持ち程度のチップは必要です。
野外ステージで行われるショーは圧巻！です。フラや生演奏はもちろん、15分程の休憩後の炎を使ったパフォーマンスは一見の価値ありだと思います。思いがけず見ることができた綺麗なサンセットもプラスとなり、いい思い出になりました。

I was disappointed cuz I booked this with a beach location in mind.. or at least, close proximity or along the beach; which I heard was the case for some time. Instead it was on the rooftop of the parking structure! Anyway, you probably would get more outstanding reviews if you only put the luau back on the beach or the grass area between the Lagoon Tower & Rainbow Tower! That would've made it PERFECT! Food could be better as well! Entertainment was excellent!n Great performers!

台風の中＝通常とおり開催ですよ＝
Reviewed by: ＪＵＮＪＩ, 2009/08/17前日からの台風の影響で、時折スコールや風があったため「中止かな」と思って会場に行きました。
ところが、予定通り開催するとのこと。
会場は屋外でなく、ホテルのコンベンションホールを使っての実施でした。
しかし、５００名はいたであろう観客をスムーズに案内し、ショーは定刻にスタート。
声のよく透る男性歌手の歌と話。そしてダンスパフォーマンスの迫力は、屋外と何ら変わりませんでした。
食事もおいしいし（特にローストビーフの柔らかさに感動！おかわりしちゃいました♪）ドリンク（ビールorソフトドリンク）も２杯飲めるし。
ショーが終わってダンサーたちと写真をとって気持ちよく外にでたら、途中で中止だったかなと思わせるほどの土砂降りでした。
もちろん、屋外でもサイコーなんでしょうけど、貴重な経験をさせてもらえました。
予約も簡単だし、食事もおいしいし、ノリノリの外人グループたちに囲まれて過ごすのも楽しいですよ。
追記：室内だからファイヤーダンスはありませんでした。

WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!!

Our driver/guide was awesome. I won't forget him! I can't recall his name because it was extremely long, but he did an EXCELLENT job guiding us through the island during our drive to PCC. This is our first time to Oahu and he did such a great job in getting us familiar with the area. He was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome, like we were his own Ohana. He made sure everyone knew which luau we were supposed to go to, where the main theater was, and even where to meet up afterwards for the drop off back to the hotel.
The Polynesian Cultural Center is an AMAZING place! Theres a 15 minute boat ride that takes u around the center to visit the different villages.
The luau was entertaining with great food!
The show was INCREDIBLE!! I really enjoyed watching all the dances. Especially the fire ring guys!!
We went for the late entry and we thought it was still well worth it! Definitely a must go.. and a must go again!!!

これぞ本物のルアウ！
Reviewed by: soro, 2009/07/29どういう訳か…日本で目にする観光案内にはあまり宣伝されていないのが不思議なくらい、パラダイス・コーブのルアウは最高です！
一言では言い表せないファンタスティックなツアーです。
「ハワイに来たら必ず観るのさ。絶対に外せないネ！」とメインランドからきたアメリカ人が豪語してましたが、米国では相当に有名らしく、これが楽しみで休暇をとって来たという方もいらっしゃいました。
バスに乗り込めば、もうガイドはノリノリ。エキサイティングな雰囲気に包まれてツアーが始まります。
先ず、ホテル周辺で開催される模擬的なルアウとは根本的なロケーションが違い過ぎます。リゾート地に会場を設け、地に着いたお祭り（ルアウ）そのものからして本物だと実感させられます。
海に沈み行く夕日を眺めながら、会場内にある数々のイベントに参加するのもルアウの楽しいひと時です。
ただ一つ、日本人からの難点を挙げるとすれば、ディナーショーにふさわしい料理か？という不満はあるかも知れません。
まあ、ハワイ料理のビッフェスタイル…大味のオンパレードは仕方ないかも。一流ホテルのビッフェを除けば大抵はこんなモノでしょうかね。
しかし、一旦照明が落ちて漆黒を迎えてからが圧巻です！
スポットライトが射し込み、強烈な炎の舞で一気に幕が開くと、妖艶優美なフラとが入り乱れてクライマックスへ向けて延々とドライブが続きます。
もう料理の味など吹っ飛ぶほどの興奮と感動を堪能するのです。
シャイな娘が舞台に上がる機会をいただけたり…客へのサービスも演出された、さすがハワイNo.1のルアウだな！と感銘した次第。
ハワイに来て今想う事は、「これだけは外せない」です！

Luau Was Incredible

All the activities before dinner were so much fun. Kids loved everything as did us adults. The dinner itself was fantastic. The Pork was some of the best I have ever had. The dancers and the show was excellent. Well worth the money we paid. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

いい思い出になりました。

日本人は私達だけでした。ガイドの方が日系だったので
日本語が話せたので助かりました。ただ、車中は英語だった
ので何を話しているのかわかりませんでしたが、盛り上がっていたことは確かです。
前に座っていた綺麗な女性２人とも少しお話できてよかったです！！
ショーもよかったし、ショーの前のいろいろなアクティビティーもよかったです。
ガイドさん、本当にありがとうございました。
また機会がありましたら宜しくお願い致します。

トランスレート追いつかず・・でもガイドが最高でした！
Reviewed by: なんきんまま, 2009/06/30中2の娘と二人で参加、かなり日本人には冒険のツアーということは知っていたが聞きしに勝るネイティブツアー。大型バスの中で日本人は私たち母娘のみ、ガイドに日本語わかりません、と一言前置きされてから7時間まったく一言も日本語なし。英語力にはかなり自信ありでしたが行き返りのバスでの弾丸のようなしゃべり、アメリカンジョーク、トランスレートは追い付きません、しかもお隣さんや後前さんで握手や肩もみなんていう仲間意識をあおってパーティー(ルアウ）を盛り上げよう！的なガイドからの要請もある！現地でも然り、バスごとにテーブルにつき盛り上がるのでコミュニケーション必須かも。色々大変だけどハワイ5回目の私にも新鮮なハワイアンショーでした。誰かが書いてくれたとおり大事なのは、自分のバスナンバーと帰り時間（９：３０ごろでした）を忘れないこと。現地に着いたら食事までの時間はかずかずのアクチビティーがタダなのでどんどん参加すること、ホラ貝の合図でヤシの木のぼりや地引網漁などのショーがあるのでそちらに行ってみること！積極的に参加することが大切です。ポリネシアン文化センターは島々の歴史やその違いがわかりやすく説明される催しですがこちらは踊りを中心に全部が参加型、比較はできません。アメリカ人のその場を心から楽しむ精神を痛感するツアーでした。英語わからなくてもいーやーと思えればラク、できれば大人数のほうがうちわで盛り上がれるのでいいかも！

I highly recommend spending the extra money and getting the Ambassador All day package. You will get a very personal tour guide of all the Polynesian villages. You are kept well entertained and learn a lot about the Polynesian cultures. The luau and the food was great, and the Night Show was beautiful and entertaining. I wished i had know the we were able to return on the ticket purchased to go back and go through it slower and get to do some of the events. please check out how to return

Slightly dissapointing
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2009/06/16I had gone to this Luau about 20 years prior and had a very favorable memory of it. This time, I have to say, was disappointing. First off, I bought the half day package. I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding or what, but our driver ( I also paid for transportation) said that our guide couldn't make it, so he took us on a tour when we got there. I felt the tour was rushed and not very impressive. I suppose for the half day, you shouldn't expect much.
He then took us to dinner a little late, and we were seated in the waaay back of the line, which makes a difference. The tables go to the buffet in order, so if you are towards the back, it's slim pickin's. The buffet itself was average, although considering what we paid, was below average for the price. I didn't get to see anything of the cooking of the pig or anything about the traditions, again, maybe because I was late.

What we imagined a luau to be!
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2009/06/10My husband and I were first time visitors to Hawaii and definitely wanted to attend a luau. After checking out all the reviews several times, we decided on this one. We opted for the deluxe dinner package w/ VIP seating and it was well worth it. The only downside to the whole trip was that the bus was late leaving the pickup point (seems to be a regular problem with them for some reason but you quickly learn the meaning of "Hawaii time") so we had less time to check out the grounds but a great time anyway. Cousin Kahale was quite entertaining on the bus and had explained everything to us by the time we got there. Once we arrived we received our leis and were whisked away to begin our VIP treatment. We had a personal escort take us inside, get our complimentary photos taken at the entrance and given a personal tour of the grounds and where to find everything. I would definitely recommend bringing several bucks extra in cash if you're like me and love getting the full experience,

英会話学習中で日本語が通じないこのツアーに参加しました。
私たちが最後のピックアップで、バスに乗車したとたん中は凄い盛り上がりで、意味がわからなかったけれど楽しかったです。
入口でダンサーと写真を撮っり、ほしい人は後で買うのですが、私たちは写真はいらなかったので、はじめからスルーできたらよかったと思いました。買わないことにちょっと罪悪感が残りました。
いろいろなパホーマンスに参加したり、食事をしながらショーを見て、また帰りのバスも元気一杯。
今まで味わったことのない体験でした。

もっと英語力を付けて、また参加したいです。
