This was the second time we've done the Starlight Luau. We liked it the first time and we weren't disappointed the second time around. The biggest plus is the food; it is varied and delicious. The performers are pretty good as well. The one negative is the setup; the tables are packed so everyone is crammed together like sardines. A little more elbow room would make this a 5 star review. We've been to other luau's that you need to take a 40 minute bus ride to get repeatedly bitten by bugs on the beach; this one has better food and far more convenience.

This was a repeat activity for us so obviously we like it before. It is surprisingly peaceful once you are up in the air and the views are spectacular. I like to stick my arms out a la Superman; I figure this is the closest I'll ever get to feeling like I'm flying. The only negative is my wife didn't care for it the last time, so she just went as an observer (rides in the boat but doesn't parasail). She loves the boat ride so that works for her, but the crew doesn't let anyone go up solo so if you don't have a partner, you end up going up with some stranger. The crew is good at what they do and are very safety conscious.

My sister and I had lived on Oahu for 5 1/2 years in the 50s and returned for her 70th birthday. The PCC was not in existence when we lived there but I had visited it with my husband in the 70s. Since we didn't think we would travel to Hawaii again, sis and I decided to go "whole hog" and booked the Super Ambassador package for this outing and luau.
To say it was well worth the extra money is putting it mildly! We were treated like royalty from the minute we got off the bus.
Beke (from Mongolia) was our personal guide for the day and gave us each a beautiful shell lei which identified us all day as SAs. Beke couldn't have been more helpful - she carried any extras we had (umbrellas, sweaters - you name it), got us ponchos when it started to rain, dried off the seats we had to sit on for performances after it rained; if there was anything to be done, she did it and with the friendliest attitude we could have wished for. She was punctual, turning up exactly on time when she ha

great trip out to the Polynesian Cultural Center! very informative and fun at each village.. traveled with family with kids in mid 20s and we all enjoyed. Luau and night show (Ha) were both enjoyable! only problem is that you are on your own once you get there unless you want to pay more for a guide..didnt think you really needed one especially if you just follow the map in order you can see the whole park in a day!

The luau was good. The only thing I would suggest is to not have the people waiting outside so before getting on the bus. The temperature outside was already hot and then the heat from the bus's engine made it worst. We waited outside the bus for 45 minutes before we could get on.

I definitely had a great time, by far the BEST! Nice location with a spectacular view of the sunset, the nice green color of the famous Diamond Head, great dinner, and the entertainment was just awesome! You can’t ask for more.
Typical luau is on a buffet style dinner and sometimes you have to wait in a long line before you get your food but with Aha Aina, everything is conveniently served to your table, delicious appetizers, filling main entrée, and multiple choices of beverages. Their servers are fast too, very friendly and accommodating. I can only say good things as I totally enjoyed it! I'll be sure to go again.

You get lei'd and you get a welcome drink and your picture taken with a hula dancer. You get to do activities like how to make a lei and get your picture taken while you are ona canoe ride. Then you get a little bit of Polynesian history of how to get and break a coconut, how the old hawaiians catch fish, and the many different ways to wear a sarong. Then everyone gathers in the Imu Stadium where you see the unveiling of the slow cooked wrapped in Ti leaves, Kahlua Pig from the pit. Then they sit you down for a delicious luau feast. And you can asks for 2nds and 3rds. Then concluding night of an hour long fantastic entertaining show of music, hula dancing and a Samoan fire dance. It is located in Ko Olina. Fabulous ocean views and sunset. Do not forget your camera! Alooooooooooha!

I've lived in Waikiki for the last 5 years, a block from beach, and watched the para-sailers every day. It was always on my to do list but I never made the time. After finally doing it, I wish I had done it sooner! It's such a fun and beautiful experience. Not only do you get to parasail, you get the boat ride and the view of Waikiki from the ocean! We also saw whales jumping which was really the icing on the cake. Being able to float above Waikiki was scenic and peaceful and a rush, all at the same time. The crew is very talented and a make the experience fun as well. What an amazing feeling as you lift off the back of the boat and gently float up. A must do!

This is far from any traditional luau experience where the typical and expected food and Polynesian show has been conceptualized to provide a very unique Hawaiian culinary and entertainment experience. The narrative is centered around history rather than mythology, unusual for a luau. They moved us indoors because they thought it was going to rain. The food was tasty and filling, service was good, show excellent and informative and the ambiance of this pink hotel was magic ... oh and it's open bar too!!!

I try to come to Hawaii as often as I can, and I have been to a lot of different luaus, and the Royal Hawaiian is without a doubt the best I have ever attended.
The food is utterly mouthwatering and they have the perfect combination of traditional and modern cuisine. I must say that the MC was great and had a fantastic way of intertwining stories about the food and the entertainment together. The dancing, singing and of course the fire knife dance just blew me away. So glad that I decided to do this!

We easily could have spent all day at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and definitely hope to go back and do so someday! But for our 6-year old daughter, that would have been far too much. She enjoyed the canoe ride, the tattoos, the leaf weaving, and the poi demonstration. She is still talking about the dinner. Us grown-ups also loved the experience. The luau and the after show were exceptional! Far better than a previous, more expensive and over-rated experience on Maui. I think that if you only do one tourist activity on Oahu, this should be it, including the show. The HA show is WELL worth the price!

Enele was a great driver and full of knowledge. He also became our tour guide once we arrived at the cultural center. He took us around and explained the different cultures and his own culture (Samoa) in great detail. The food at the luau was great with the Kalua pork and Lomi Lomi being my favorite. Poi was actually not bad after all the bad things I heard about it. The entertainment during dinner was great. We even got on stage for a little dance. The show was incredible, portraying the AH of life. The fire dancers were awesome. Overall was a great experience and would recommend to everyone.

A bit overrated and touristy, im a vegetarian who does eat seafood but there were no vegetarian options so veggies beware as you;ll be stuck only eating salad, activities sound a lot more interesting on paper then in person, consists of a 2 second canoe ride in a circle near the shore, throwing a stick at a bale of hay, someone making you a flower bracelet, and throwing a wooden thing and a stone against a board, the actual luau dance was pretty good and the fire dance was amazing, dinner should be served sooner and the real entertainment should start earlier, the bus took forever to get there and your free mai tai just tastes like juice and no alcohol. drinks were way overpriced but is nice that your ticket includes 3 free drinks but our quite small and they loor people into buying bigger ones for 3 dollars each so they make the money back. all in all it was good to experience it for my first time but it was very unauthentic and cheesy to us.
