Amazing crew but no sight of a fish
Reviewed by: Naomi, 2021/07/09The crew was amazing but we did not see a single fish. The water was not clear, I could not even see people next to me. It was just swimming tour. That’s all. If you want to see snorkeling and see fishes, I suggest do either submarine or go the north shore to Shark’s Cove.

If your doing this for the snorkeling dont do it!!!
Reviewed by: Disappointed, 2021/07/08I paid 93 for the snorkeling thinking it be something to remember.. but the only thing I’ll remember it the waist of money it was my whole family paid and it was a waist. Its a free for all you get trampled and just sucks in all honesty the people are nice and we meet some nice people on the boat but they sell you this amazing experience and its not, you cant see anything at all, if you want to paddle board or go down the slide even kayak this is the place for you but don't do it for the snorkeling it be a waist of money like it was for us … hope this helps another person not make the same mistake we did . Wonderful experience!

The experience was perfect for our family and our captain adjusted the ride appropriately for each group of our riders (some were gently dipped and others had a more thrilling experience). It was obvious our captain and crew knew what they were experienced. I recommend getting the pictures. We would definitely do again

The entire experience was exceptional.

I would do this again when I return, The value was definitely there.

I loved getting to sail for the majority of the time that we were on the water, and getting a view of Waikiki & Diamond Head from the water! We had a great view of sunset as well, and planes taking off from HNL. It was BYOB, but they also had drinks for sale on the boat ($5/drink or $20 bottomless). The boat had a decent number of passengers, but I don’t think it was sold out, so it didn’t feel too crowded. The attached photo is of the boat before we boarded and left the marina.

My family and I were able to book our experience in the same week we took the cruise, I felt it was priced quite fairly and the process was very easy. The website's description was very helpful and I appreciated having the option to purchase dinner if I so wanted to. I did not buy the dinner package but the other guests who did seemed quite happy with their meals, though there weren't tables to place your food on. If you do choose to get the dinner, eat it before you get out to the open waters as you and your food can get pretty wet from ocean spray depending on where you sit. If you don't want to get wet there's plenty of seats that stay dry, though the catamaran can fill with many guests so arrive early if you want the best seating options. Overall, my family and I loved our experience, my mother was a bit worried as the crew didn't discuss emergency protocol but I never felt like this was a concern. The 90 minute trip had excellent views, wasn't too rocky, and I liked being able to bring my own drinks or purchasing drinks from the crew. I would highly recommend this activity to couples, families with older children, or friend groups. If I ever return to Oahu I would thoroughly like to do this again!

It was just okay, but the waitresses on the vessel made up for it.
Reviewed by: Nancy, 2021/07/03The service provided on the dinner cruise by the servers was excellent. They were friendly and nice, always with a smile! I expected more interaction by the captain. He didn't introduce himself to the people on board or had anything to say to us. This dinner cruise was a disappointment, but we tried to make the best of it. The dinner was good, but two of my family members got sea sick because the waters were choppy and the vessel was rocking back and forth pretty bad. At least a photographer took a nice picture of us that we purchased! Thank God I took motion sickness medication before I boarded the vessel.

I would definitely recommend this again, and then take that experience and go to a better snorkeling location. Turtle should not be in the title
Reviewed by: Alanna Owen , 2021/07/03It says turtle in the title of what this excursion is. It says snorkeling in the title as well. All this was about was taking a bunch of water toys in the middle of the ocean and playing on them. While we were out there, I asked if we were going somewhere else to see the turtles and was told this is nature. Sometimes you see them , sometimes you won’t. Again, this was not about seeing sea turtles and the title needs to be changed. We paid $150 person to jump off side of boat, jump on trampoline, kayak/paddle board and TRY to snorkel in the middle of all this chaos. Tell it like it is and don’t be devious in the title. The crew was the only reason we have 3 stars and tipped on top of what we already paid. They were very nice. But this isn’t what it says it is. Don’t be fooled.

Awesome cruise- Great crew!

Saw lots of turtles and got great pictures. Snorkel area itself is a little crowded at times but everyone was helpful in locating turtles and respectful of peoples space. Drinks were great after we got back on the boat. Overall A++ experience!

Star of Honolulu Waikiki Sunset Cruise - Steak and Lobster Dinner & Hula Show
Great Family Event
Reviewed by: Honolulu Headrick, 2021/07/01There were 10 of us that had the opportunity to enjoy a fancy dinner on the waters off of Ohau. The age range of our party were from 2-72.
From the time we arrived and checked in we were treated courteously and made to feel welcomed! The music and dancing while we waited made the experience more exciting for my nephews (2,4, & 8 years old) and for my Brother and wife who have never been to Hawaii before. Once onboard we were greeted by the captain of the boat which thrilled them silly and kept my sister in law busy trying to get them to their seats.
We had the best waitress for our table! we always had something to drink and when we were undecided she was able to suggest drinks for the adults and kids. When the boys were unsure with dinner, our waitress brought more cheese and fruit. We never had to look for her she just knew and was always available.
We all enjoyed the dancing and even were invited to join in. My nephews danced their hearts out, along with my mom (the 72 year old) and my sister. The views from the top deck were specular and we got some great family pictures.
Defiantly an event we will remember!
Thank you to the staff aboard the Star of Honolulu! you were fantastic!

Need to have life jackets so air does not release. Snorkeling is done in the middle of ocean and shore. At times difficult to see fishes and turtles.

1st time Parasailing

The day of our parasail adventure we checked in at the booth. The young lady working that morning was so helpful and had great customer service. When I checked in she explained the 2 pieces of paperwork each adult had to sign. Her phone rang handled her business with the customer on the phone and then apologized and thanked me for being patient. Next she explained everything we needed to know, where we needed to wait etc. Check in process smooth and straight to the point. Then our boat arrives I forgot the young mans name but he was so awesome. Captain Mac I believe his name was, was also amazing. What to expect was clearly explained, directions clearly explained and a sense of humor made our first time parasailing all worth it. Definitely a memory that will not be forgotten. Book with Xtreme an experience you won’t forget !!!!

Waikiki Snorkel with Turtles Cruise with Beers & Cocktails - Ke Kai Catamaran
Not what I expected- expensive- no turtles- no fun on board- unfriendly crew.
Reviewed by: Just J, 2021/06/26Let me start by saying that I’m used to going to tours where the crew is super fun and wild so I was expecting a lot more from a tour that offers cocktails. To get a drink you basically had to chase someone to get you one because it wasn’t like someone was there standing and serving drinks, they were busy eating their own lunch and chatting. Second, I’m used to crew assisting others that need help getting in and out of boat or at shore or struggling, this crew did not assist at all, you were on your own. So if you really do not know how to snorkel or are a start swimmer, you’re on your own. The turtles, well the snorkelers did not see any, the people on board said they saw 2. Could be that the reason none were around is because besides our boat that area is flooded with like 2 other boats filled with other snorkelers and this scares off the poor turtles. Overall a mediocre experience. Did not really enjoy it and not worth the cost. Would not recommend unless you’re taking it just to go for a cruise.
