Staff assumed you're non english speaking, simply or blatantly ignoring you.
In my honest opinion, i dont think this trip is necessary.
The fireworks could have been viewed on Hilton Waikiki side.
The cruises dont own the firework show.
You could have watch it for free on the opposite shore without even have to travel hurriedly on Uber to the other side.
