A must for Oahu visit

An experience of a lifetime!

Excellent First-Time Snorkel

I had trouble figuring out the breathing, and he was very kind, patient, and worked to insure that I had a great experience. He was prepared with good equipment we needed, got us through the Haunauma Bay entry easily, and took us on a wonderful swim with loads of great life to see. We saw tons of fish, a huge turtle, an eel, the reef, and it was a fabulous experience.

Awesome Time!

I would do this snorkling tour again. Seen many different fish and twoTurtles. We actually went Pretty far out and the instructors were besides us and checking on us to make sure we were ok. My kids loved it to and talked about it for the whole day!! Go snorkling it Was awesome! Worth every penny I spent!

Wonderful experience
Reviewed by: Jeanne A, 2015/02/15I had never swum in the ocean even though I am a resident of N. California (water too cold). So I signed my husband and I up for a beginner snorkeling trip. Us two old fogies and 5 young Japanese students took the class. Both instructors were fluent in Japanese and very accommodating to us as well. We followed a turtle for several minutes and saw many colorful fish in the Bay. A truly wonderful experience. I will try it again some day.

Pretty good

I liked how the guides were taking pictures for their Facebook page and said we could download the images of ourselves for our records. My only complaint was that the water was not super clear, but other than that, it was worth it.

It was amazing!!!

It was stunning to see beautiful fishes and turtle. Luckily, turtle was just in front of me!!
He took many pictures for us during the tour.
It is worth to do and if i visit again to Hawaii, i would like to join to this tour again!

Great snorkeling trip, really appreciated the individual attention & small group size
Reviewed by: Mikey94025, 2013/09/13We knew that snorkeling at Hanauma bay was a public activity, but we wanted something that was "high touch" and could deal with any individual needs if they came up. This was definitely it and we were very satisfied. Group sizes are usually small, like 4, but ours was luckily just the 2 of us. Alan, the guide's pre-outing equipment instructions helped ensure that we could use the mask with the least problems and we always felt safe & accommodated. This was the best snorkeling experience I've had of the several we've done so far. We even saw a sea turtle for a bit nibbling around the coral and coming up for air!

Snorkel with the sea turtles!!!
Reviewed by: Moe, 2013/08/28First of all, Allen our instructor was very cool. We felt right at home and we got lucky that we had only 1 other family with us so we got great lessons. The views of hanauma bay is like something from a postcard!!! The snorkeling is so amazing and we even got to swim with turtles!! This is a must too because the line to get in is long but with Allen we went right to the front. First class service for sure. Most important thing: underwater camera we bought the best on the market just for this reason and it was so worth it!!

I felt we were all take great care of, felt safe and had the first of many (I hope) snorkeling experiences. I would recommend this company to anyone. And any older people who want to try this for the first time, this is the company to use. Only comment is that I wish it were longer. Thanks a lot.

it's a must add to itinerary
Reviewed by: misi, 2012/10/26My first time going to Hawaii and doing snorkeling was one of the best things I did. I highly recommend you book with Hawaiian activities I had the dest experience. We had hotel pick and drop off and transportation was on time. Or instructor took us to snorkel on thebest part of the Beach to see more fish and turtles. The gear was in good conditions. Instructor also took pictures of us under water and posted them on Facebook base on the date of tour. Mahalo hope you enjoy your booking.

My Only Criticism
Reviewed by: Mr. Anonymous, 2012/08/07My only criticism is that the time spent snorkeling in the water was somewhat limited in comparison with the total time scheduled for the tour. While our instructor/guide was very good, he moved us through the two areas snorkeled in the bay very quickly. I wanted to take some pictures, but found the time to do so was very limited as the group had to move through each area at a pace that limited the time for individual viewing of fish and coral. As a result, I was only able to get very few pictures, and, to have time to enjoy a direct view of the fish without looking through the camera screen!
More time in the water and a slower pace would be desirable.

Reviewed by: Rehana, 2011/10/17My husband and I snorkeled for the first time in our lives at Hanuma Bay. We were picked up by Allyen as per the schedule at sharp 7:30 AM from our hotel. We reached Hanuma Bay well in time and were joined by a kind Japanese lady Fumio who works with Allyen. My husband and I cannot swim and hadn't ever ventured in sea. Everyone in our group knew swimming and they snorkeled with Allyen. We stayed back with Fumio who first taught us to keep our bodies floating. She then held our hands and took us through the reefs. We saw eels and schools of fish. For us snorkeing was one of the most wonderful experiences of our lives and highlight of our Hawaii trip. We are thankful to Fumio for putting in so much effort helping us stay afloat and navigating us through water. We would recommend this trip to everyone! Thanks ton Fumio.

Phenomenal Day!
Reviewed by: The Decker Family, 2010/08/30My family (parents & 2 adult kids) went on a tour, in which we were the only party booked for that afternoon. Our guide, Allyn picked us up curb side from our hotel and was super nice. It was my family's first experience snorkeling and truthfully my mom and I were terrified. Allyn did a fantastic job at easing our fears and explaining everything. While we were in the water, he held my mom's hand the entire time which my mom appreciated so much. My parents got tired and we all went back to get re-hydrated. Allyn took my brother and I back out, along a different route. We saw a couple sea turtles. When we were over the reef, Allyn pulled me in a different direction to point right in front of us... There was this huge sea turtle, I could've reached out and touched it! I only wish the batteries in my camera and the dive could've lasted longer! AMAZING! We would definitely recommend it to other first timers! Thanks Allyn!

Aloha. Thanks for the review. Some days Hanauma Bay is super clear and other days not so good. It depends on the tide and wave conditions. Usually low tide and winter months have the best visibility. We hope you can join us another time when the ocean is clearer.
