The best way to take the Road to Hana

We really enjoyed the tour. The waterfall stops and lush rainforest scenery were beautiful. The lunch was good. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and informative. The black sand beach was the highlight for us! We loved going the reverse route. We definitely recommend this tour!

Fun trip around the island!

Overall the tour was great. We hit all of the major stops and the guide offered to take us to additional stops along the way. Was an incredible and breathtaking trip! Only one star off since the driver was a bit overzealous about being punctual. I completely understand (and appreciate!) the need for the group members to be on time; however, the stern tone from the guide at 7:01AM for a 7AM pick up was a bit of a rough start to the day. Nevertheless, would recommend this trip to anyone.

Quinn was a guide and he was so cool. He took us on the long road around not just to Hana and back. We saw so much and he slowed down or stopped whenever he could for photo ops. The sights were indescribable and seemed to be unlimited! It was a long but full day!

Happy about Hana!

Overall, the tour was awesome! Eric our tour guide was knowledgeable and interacted with everyone. He definitely knew the history of the island ! Eric also gave us some great tips about the different areas in Maui. We saw such different vegetation on our trip. Our driver stopped at several photo ops.
For our breakfast I would have liked a pastry versus a bread. Maybe something that was made in Hawaii. The sandwich lunch we had was fresh, healthy and delicious. I really enjoyed the stop for coffee and banana bread!!!!
I was expecting a bumpy ride and some nausea but the ride was better than I thought. We stopped enough to get out and stretch. The only thing I was bummed about was not getting to see a turtle close up! My husband thought the tour was over priced Our tour was booked through our travel agent not by us.

Tight squeeze

This trip was nice, not too many vehicles going counter clockwise. We saw such a long line of cars towards the end. Glad we went backwards, and skipped the traffic.
There were some narrow squeezes and even had to back up once. But the views were great (just look quickly!) the rainbow trees are beautiful.
Time constraints didn’t allow us to swim under the waterfall, which I would have liked to do (colder water needed to get used to it and dry off..,)
Hana town looks quaint and cute.
The black sand beach and swimming was great!

Beautiful! Waterfalls, incredible coastline views, bamboo forests, complimentary banana bread, local food stands, and much more! But the best was our guide Kea. Impressive knowledge of all the attractions combined with his passionate understanding of Hawaiian history and culture; he was a great guide! We came away with so much more than we had planned on!

My wife and I had an amazing time on this private tour of the road to Hana. Ana did an amazing job and was super cool and friendly!! Got to hit a lot of the spots we wanted to see, including the bamboo forest, swimming in waterfalls, tidal pools, lunch and banana bread from Aunty Sandy's. Sampled some fresh guava off the the side of the road Awesome views. Also, Ana, loved talking movies and tv shows with you! Great times!!

We had an amazing personalized tour of Maui driving through the Hana Road. Gus and AnnaLisa both provided a fantastic narrative of the beautiful island of Maui from the lush rain forest to the beach and circled entire island. Stopped at wonderful places for local banana bread to ice cream and BBQ lunch as well as local island coffee. Enjoyed hearing about Maui’s culture, history, plants and flowers. Not to mention the breathe tasting scenery with personalized photos. Very social distance friendly and felt completely safe throughout the tour. Highly recommended.

Very unique experience not to be missed while traveling to Maui. Completely different from anything else on the island and I highly recommend it. Having a driver was great just so we can spend more time looking around and he knew several of the places to stop that we otherwise would have had no idea about. Also places do not stop, they were covered in tourist and other things. Our driver and the service did a great job.

Maui is such a beautiful place! Our tour guide Ray greeted us with an energy that carried us throughout the island. He was infectous with his laughter and humor! His knowledge and ability to steer us in the right direction is exactly what you look for. He stayed with us and took a bathe with us at the waterfall while taking pictures. Allowed us sufficient time to roam around at each stop. Made us 50 lbs heavier at the end of the trip but made sure we ate delicious items and a typical Hawaiian lunch not sandwiches and cold cuts. He had snacks and homemade pastries which you can never go wrong with. Handled the winding road with ease and never put us in harm's way! Thanks for the beautiful journey on The Road to Hana.

Gus was so knowledgeable and personable. The weather didn’t cooperate, we saw as much as we could and then he took us to see sea turtles on a local beach. Gus provided local snacks, bottled water, and a great Maui history lesson.

This tour was so fun. We had a really nice driver that talked about the culture and history of Maui, and she even asked my wife and I questions about ourselves. She knew all the best places to stop & take pictures, eat banana bread, and what literally every plant was. She was truly and expert guide. At one point, she stopped at a waterfall for us to look at, and she said we could jump off of it and she'd take a video of us. And we did!! It was SO fun. Wow. I would do this again. Anyone who goes might want to bring a change of clothes/a towel in case you want to go for a swim!

We were promptly picked up at the designated time at the pier. This tour went West to Lahaina. The road thru the mountains became very narrow in places but our driver Halley did an excellent job of navigating the turns. This road was definitely more scary than the road to Hana.
Halley did a good job in explaining the various sights just as Sammy did the day earlier. She made frequent stops so we could get photos.
Once we arrived in Lahaina Town, Halley recommended a nice restaurant where we had lunch overlooking the ocean.
We were very pleased with this tour and would highly recommend it.
