This was the best thing we did in Hawaii!! Very comfortable van. Wonderful tour guide. He was very knowledgable about all sites and history of the island. Spaced out the ride so that we were never crowded by other tourist. And the picnic luch was just about the best meal we had on the whole trip. I would recommend this tour to everyone!!!

Everyone should take this tour. Although it is open to the public, the guides provide you with a wealth of knowledge you may not get otherwise. They also know of secluded waterfalls, so you can actually enjoy them. Dylan was an amazing guide and truly expanded our knowledge! It kept our interest the entire time.

The road to hana has been on my "bucket list" to do before I die for as long as I can remember. Me and my wife finally got the funds together and made the trip to Maui, and booked this tour with Hawaiiactivities.
And it sure did not dissapoint! I understand why so many people come here. the trip was comfortable as far as the riding, and the views...oh my GAWD....awesome. This is now checked off my list, but I would definitely do it again, and again regardless! we have already recommended this same tour to MANY of our pals.

This tour was so cool I honestly can't decide which part of the two I liked better, the helicopter flight or the drive along the road to hana. Both were such once in a lifetime experiences, i really don't know how I am gonna top a tour like this on my next vacation anywhere. really enjoyed both of them, and would do them BOTH again in a heartbeat. Maui is so pretty, and being able to see it from the air and on ground really gave a great diverse perspective of just how great this island really is. thanks alot

The road to Hana was as gorgeous as I had read it was, and the ride was nice and smooth and comfortable. Overall a rockin' tour!

This was a great tour. We were able to see a lot of the island. The first part, up to Hana, was beautiful! Our tour guide pointed out places that were historically important, and various Hawaiian plants. He also told us which plants were native to Maui and which were brought over in canoes from other Pacific islands as well as what the plants were used for. Very informative! I would not recommend driving to Hana yourself; the road is narrow - one lane in a lot of places, with hairpin corners, and mostly on the side of the cliff. The drive around the back side of the volcano was not so fabulous. It was a very dry climate there so not as lush and beautiful. We pretty much just drove through that area. Made the tour seem kind of long.

We went on the 5 hour hike and had a blast! This was by far our favorite activity on Maui. The rainforest was beautiful! We saw 4 waterfalls, 3 with pools that we were able to swim in. Our guide, Helga, was very friendly and informative. She explained about the many varieties of plants and fruits on the hike as well as sharing other information about the island. We were able to pick and sample guavas fresh from the tree! This was an easy hike through some of the most beautiful scenery on Maui. I would highly recommend this activity!

Helga was our guide and she seemed to know alot about the area. We were walking alog and she stopped at a tree and pointed out a lizard or some kind. How she saw it I don't know. My wife thought it was almost too long a hike as she has a back injury. I enjoyed every minute of it. We saw 4 waterfalls and I swam in 2 on them. Swung on a rope through the fourth waterfall. Had a blast. Your in a rainforest jungle so be ready to come out with muddy shoes. The info sheet said wear swim clothes and bring a dry change. Don't bring anything. There is no place to change at. If you need to just wear something over your swimwear. I wore swim trunks and took my shirt, shoes, socks off for swimming. Your provided backpacks to carry your lunch in. On the lunch choices bread choice should also be added. My and I both don't like rye?... The only down point i saw and was no control of the guide is there is a sick fasination with pit-bulls. Before leaving, we want to express our sincere thanks to you for providing such a ‘class act’ in the tour service you offer. We had the privilege of doing both the Hana and Haleakala trips with you and we had an unforgettable time; learned a great deal and were as comfortable as could be. You certainly leave no stone unturned to ensure the best possible service toyour clients - we appreciate that. Our tour guides were prompt, courteous, most adept at their jobs and extended to us what we refer to as the real Hawaiian hospitality. We could have asked for nothing more. They thought of everything! Please extend our thanks to each of them too for making us feel like one of the family.

The road to hana was something that I wanted to experience while on Maui. I'm glad that someone else was driving, because that road in narrow and curves constantly. The driver did a great job maneuvering around the road, all while giving us informative information about what we were seeing. All along the road you can see beautiful lush vegetation. The helicopter tour was a great way to get a brids-eye-view of hana. Hana is even more beautiful when you see it from a helicopter. You can really get a feel for how dramatic the scenery in Hana is.

My wife and I enjoyed the Hana picnic very much. Our tour guide's name was Buzz, and he had a wealth of knowledge about Maui and Hawaiian history. He also knew the curves in the road to Hana very well, seemingly by heart, which enabled my wife and I to enjoy the scenery without having to deal with the stress of driving. He also stopped at several points of interest, including waterfalls, a flower garden in the rain forest, and two black sand beaches. Again, for us, the day was excellent and we will probably go again with my wife's parents, who can also appreciate history and culture in addition to the sightseeing.
For the purposes of this review, I will say that we spent a great deal of time listening to Buzz talk about the islands because the weather prevented us from swimming at certain points. Again, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this part because we like to learn about knew things and places, but one of our fellow riders got bored at times, and she made sure everyone on

Our guide, Randy was fantastic. I was a little upset with your company that they did not portrait the excursion correctly. It was supposed to be an Eastern Maui excursion going 25 miles down the Road to Hana then to the Garden of Eden. This is not correct. That excursion had been replaced with a more difficult Western Maui location. We did not travel the Road to Hana, nor see the Garden of Eden. This was a more strenuous hike and climb. I have an injury to my shoulder and would have not chosen this adventure if it was represented correctly by your website and your staff that I spoke to. All in all, I would reccomend this escursion to others without existing injuries. Our guide did a great job and was very informative.
