What a way to spend a day !
So we took a catamaran instead of a jet boat. WHO CARES. A much more relaxing way to travel.
Of course, having the right crew can sure make a big difference. Especially if you have Yoshi (skipper), Mark (aquatic expert) and Koma (terrific, knowledgeable guide) who are all very professional and seasoned sea-salts (sailors, for you landlocked unfortunates).
Of course, there's the delicious Hawaii style breakfast and the barbeque lunch all served ON-BOARD.
Can anyone say 'where are the dolphins'? Are you kidding me. You know, pictures really are worth thousands of words. Check them out.
Not once, but twice during our adventure.
Naturally, there is snorkeling in Shark Fin (Hummm) Bay. You'll just have to take the tour to find out.
Then, for the landlubbers, there's a wonderful tour of the very scenic, quaint privately owned island (Does the name Ellison ring a bell?) of Lanai with no traffic lights and only one gas station. No traffic cameras either. All orchestrated by none other than 'Auntie Mo' who is truly quite a lady and guide.
Then, the grand finale on the return voyage by raising the sail. Take the tour and see the sail totally unfurled.
What a way to spend a day!
