We are so happy that we took this tour! It was one of our favorite days of the vacation. Our tour guide, Omar, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Hawaiian culture and the history of the valley itself. It was beautiful.

I’ve done this more than 5 times and every trip is different and wonderful. Great way to see more of the island without driving. Love all of the employees. It’s a great experience. Last time in March 2022 we took three grandsons and son in law. Very fun trip. They have a fantastic time. This time I took a friend who had never been to island. We again had a fabulous trip. Although this is now the only way that you can visit the Waipio Valley it is so worth taking the guided tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history and culture of the valley, and shared loads of local insights and stories which made this one of the best tours we have ever experienced

Hawaii Horseback Riding Tour with Waterfall Swim at Umauma Falls
Fun experience

My family did this experience. It’s quite a drive to get to this place. I did this with my husband and 2 kids (ages 12 & 9). The tour guides were really friendly and informative. They chose our horses for us based on weight and experience. The horses know where they’re going so there’s little for the rider to do. The waterfall was very cold, deep, and there’s quite a current! Be prepared if you want to swim (we did!). They have kayaks and paddle boards if you prefer not to swim. My kids loved this experience and have been asking for horseback lessons since we got back. Bring a long sleeve shirt or light jacket just in case- we were chilly!

We’ve been to Waipio Valley several times but have never taken a guide-led tour, and it made a huge difference. The guide was charming, knowledgeable and experienced. We saw parts of the valley that we wouldn’t have been able to in the past, and certainly now that the valley is closed to non-residents. Highly recommend!

Very informative tour

My wife and I took this tour with our three young kids. We had a very knowledgeable guide for our tour—Ray. He is a native of Waipo Valley and he had a lot of good information to tell us both about Waipo Valley and Hawaiian history in general. Beyond this, the valley itself is breathtakingly beautiful! All of us thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
Overall, this was an excellent tour!

A must do experience on the big island. The tour guide did a great job of driving the very steep and very bumpy road and explaining the history of the valley. If you get car sick or can't handle a really bumpy ride, you may want to wait til a hiking trail is made. At this time, this is the only way to see the valley. We finished our tour with a Hawaiian lunch at the food truck down the road and a fruit stand. It was a perfect day.

Second tour and still amazing

Took this tour 6 years ago and had the most amazing experience. So I had to do it again. This tour offers the best of Big Island because you get to see Akaka Falls and Rainbow Falls. We saw lots of turtles at black sand beach and an actual rainbow at Rainbow Falls! Our guide Brent was very informative and helpful.

It was almost magical, definitely a fun tour to a place you cannot go on your own. Waipoi valley is like going to a hidden paradise that only a few outsiders get to visit and I feel envigorated that I was one of them. I saw many people in regular vehicles at the view point over looking the valley but only residents and tour groups are allowed to enter the valley and if you request it you can get off the 4x4 van and walk to the beach and catch the next vehicle back for a small fee. Overall I very nice experience.

Drew's the best!

The six if us had a great time with Drew who kept us entertained while ensuring we understood the historical and cultural importance of many of the sites we visited. The dad jokes were appreciated over the course of the day travelling from Kona to Hilo and points in-between. The consensus highlight was the swim in the waterfall pool. Even the weather cooperated. Incredible tour but our Tour guide, Anson really brought the island and the tour to life. Honestly enjoyed the tour to the max but we would pay to just hang out with Anson again. Lol. I'm sure all the guides are great and extremely courteous.
All the jokes we made he would rebuttal and be involved all while still maintaining his poise and professionalism. It's the little things guys and this tour has it all. Thank you From the bottom of our hearts.

料金が一人10万円超え、高いと思いながらの参加でしたが、日本語のパイロットのリクエストがかなってTosiさんがお出迎え安心しました。
イグアスの滝遊覧でもヘリに乗りましたが15分で2万8000円、今回のフライトは2時間半、単純計算で10倍とすると28万円。実際ワイコロアのヘリポートからヒロまで飛んで給油、燃料代もかかっています。何よりパイロットが日本語で説明、いろいろな質問にも明快に応えてくださり、火山の火口も迫力満点！渓谷の滝も素晴らしかったです。ハワイ島の成り立ちが良く分かり、絶対損はしません。余裕があれば滝に降りるコースもいいのでは… 2023,8,22参加

料金は少し値をはりますが、ハワイまできたのでそこは思い切って参加してみました。
結果いいお金の使い方をしたと思っています！
まずヘリに乗ることなんてなかなかない中でヘリの揺れなんかも大変貴重な体験でした。
景色も地上からは見れない景色を存分に楽しめることが出来て満足しています。
一点だけあるとすると、やはり英語が苦手であれば多少追加料金はかかりますが、日本人の運転手にお願いしたほうが無難だと思います。
我々は英語のツアーで多少は言ってることがわかるものの、やはり歴史やその土地の情報なども実際に見ながら説明してくれるので吸収力が違うと思います。
