Waipi'o ValleyReviewed by: Michele, 2016/10/22
This is one of the best tours ever!!!
Our tour guide was Elika, who is a native Hawaiian and spent several years in Waipi'o Valley. His knowledge of the history and importance of this valley to the culture of the islands heart felt.
The hike from the drop off point in the valley to the black sand beach and transversing the river that meets the ocean was fun, but you can get wet, as I found out. The walk along the beach, you are able to look along the coastline. We hiked back into the valley and were able to see a waterfall from a distance as access is no longer available through private property. I will never forget my time in this valley.
